32) Reunion

"Do you want some water?"

Sophia asked Gal as soon they stepped inside the apartment

"Uh sure"

Gal said awkwardly and sat down on a couch in the living room. She looked around and saw pictures frames with Sophia with her friends.

She looked around even more and saw the interior design. It matches with Sophia so well.

"Here"

Gal shifted her head and grabbed the cup of water out of Sophia hand.

"Thank you"

Sophia sat next to Gal and sat there awkwardly

"So umm where do I start...."

"That night. I heard you and my dad talking. That you picked him" Gal heard Sophia

Sophia shifted uncomfortably.

"Ummm 4 years ago, your dad noticed we were close. Too close for his liking. He suspects that we were hiding something from his back and we kinda were. I didn't tell him, however he was getting suspicious."

Sophia took a sip of her water

"So he told me what he was going to do after he what was going on between. He was going to disown you and start a new family. He wouldn't contact you or anything. He'll even do terrible things with you that I don't even want to think about because it'll make me feel terrible"

Gal took a breath

"I couldn't let him do that to you. I had to calm him down by saying that I will marry him and start a family to prove that there was nothing going on between us and to protect you" Gal looked at Sophia

"So you said that to protect me?"

Gal nodded

"Then what?"

"Me and Cullen got married. We moved to Canada like he said. I'm only here because of my dad" Gal said

Sophia looked down and saw the ring on Gal finger

"Have you guys...started a family together?" Sophia questions

"No" Gal immediately responded

"I guess I misunderstood everything. I thought you broke our promised" Sophia sighs

"I wanted to explain everything after you graduate so we can run away together and live in California, but after you graduated you left. I hated my for not telling you earlier and thought it was my fault" Gal sighs

"How is he?"

Gal raised her eyebrows

"My dad"

"Oh he's well. He doing good with his job and is healthy" Gal said

Sophia nodded

It got quiet for a second until Gal spoke

"Are you single- I mean do you still have feelings for me?" Gal mentally slapped herself for that dumb question

Sophia froze

She hasn't really thought of this. I mean it's been 4 years and Sophia thought Gal moved on.

"Gal...I don't know. I mean all this time I thought you moved on because you're married to my father so I moved on when I landed in California. I mean it's been 4 years since I last saw you" Sophia said

Gal nodded

"I understand." Gal slip a tear out of her eyes

"I never stop thinking about you. Every night I just think how much I missed you and thought all of this was my fault. I still have feelings for you which is bad because it's been 4 years but I just couldn't move on" Gal cried

Sophia felt her heartbreak

Both calmed down

"Please don't give up on us" Gal said

"I won't" Sophia whispered

Suddenly the door opened

"Hey Soph I'm back-"

"Taylor!" Sophia stood up

"Gal?" Taylor was surprised

"Taylor?" Gal was also surprised

Taylor walked towards them making Gal stand up.

The vibe was filled with tension

"What a cute reunion yayy" Sophia tried to lighten up the mood
