Maddison's Pov
My eyes fly open, my body lurching forward. My vision was foggy. As I sat against my headboard, my door opened. "Morning Jeremy," I smiled at him. He laughs, "Morning Maddi." Jeremy flops onto my bed, face shoved into the pillows. A tired groan leaves his lips, "Can I help you, brother?" Maddison raises a brow as he mumbles something I can't quite make out.
I decide to go shower and leave him to his snoring. Undressing and stepping into the cold spray of water, I choose to practice. I channel my focus into warming the water before it reaches my skin. I can feel the magic flow from within my chest, down my arms, and into my fingers. I continue to shower under the now-warm water before climbing out and dressing for the day.
Going back into my room, I nudge Jeremy awake before grabbing my bag. "Did you have to wake me?" He complained, sitting up. "Yes, Jer I did. C'mon, we have a Elena-free meeting at the boarding house." He sighed sitting up, "Alright."
