"That's surprisingly good," Soobin said after receiving a call from Yeonjun telling him where they were going today. Or rather, he generally asked if Soobin and Jaemin wanted to go out with them. This was no longer a rarity and the blue-haired young man was really glad that he had been able to save his friendship with Yeonjun once again. After all, Yeonjun had been important to him from the beginning, and not just because they had slept with each other. He had formed a deep bond with Yeonjun, who had often told him difficult things such as about his parents. "Jaemin has a gig at Daisy's at ten o'clock today, could be fun."
"Well, then," Yeonjun replied, "I'll meet you there." As soon as he got the okay from his former bed-bunny, he hung up, tossed the phone next to him on the sofa, and watched as Kai stepped out of the room with his chosen outfit.
"Are they coming?" Kai asked, sitting down on the stool in the living room and tugging at his black T-shirt, which he wore under a gray, loose shirt. "Wait, doesn't Jaemin have a gig today?" he then remembered, to which Yeonjun just nodded.
"You don't look particularly motivated," Kai then remarked, glaring at the elder's scowl and rolling up his sleeves. "Is everything okay?"
"Yes, yes," Yeonjun nodded, still with a face as if he had been dragging a rain cloud along with him for months. Finally, he rose from the couch and called out to the last of the bunch, who was standing in front of the mirror wearing a flashy red college jacket and looking engrossed in his cell phone.
"Ready to go!" Beomgyu finally called out as if shot out of a gun when he saw Yeonjun heading for the front door and ran toward the hallway to slip on his sneakers. "Single and ready to mingle," he grinned, tapping the passing Kai on the lower legs to make him run ahead.
"We'll see about that," Yeonjun grumbled, holding the door open for the two of them in a gentlemanly manner.
While Kai went ahead, Beomgyu stopped once more in front of the elder and looked at him. He seemed like he wanted to say something, but decided against it, instead just patting him lightly on the shoulder and after a second, leaving the pink-haired man bringing up the rear. "We should eat something first," Beomgyu said meekly once they were outside in the fresh air. Still, old habits could never be completely broken.
