They had taken everything that could be found in the kitchen until Taehyun had decided to text Beomgyu what he should definitely buy. If it was the weekend anyway, he might as well cook dinner for them. And he had really enjoyed Yeonjun helping him. "Would you like to taste?" he asked the pink-haired man, holding a spoonful of broth in his hand and pointing it in the latter's direction.

Of course, Yeonjun complied with this question. He didn't miss the chance to savor the closeness, and as he slurped the broth from the spoon, it was Taehyun's eyes that stared at him as if he were completely new to him. As if he didn't know him, curious and interested.

"So?" Taehyun murmured softly, as if totally eager to hear what Yeonjun had to say about his cooking.

That his voice slipped a few octaves lower was not due to the curiosity of his own skills in the kitchen, but because Yeonjun was so close to him that he could see the subtle difference in color between the iris and pupil, and this was a miracle with the dark brown of Yeonjun's eyes. Taehyun swallowed and withdrew his hand slightly.

Yeonjun maintained eye contact, then nodded and raised his thumb.

"Perfect."

Taehyun pressed his lips together and turned away, feeling as if he were in déjà vu, transported back to his old kitchen where he had kissed Yeonjun willingly for the first time.

And he wanted to do it again.

"Thanks for your help," Taehyun said softly, trying to focus on the food.

Yeonjun's heart was pounding, too, and he stretched his back, letting his gaze wander around the living room that was next door. "You're welcome," he muttered, then turned back to Taehyun, who was looking intently at the pot. "Thanks for cooking."

When the meal was ready, they both joined the dining table, enjoying Taehyun's cooking in silence, glancing at each other from time to time, then averting their eyes as they came close to temptation to say something that might upset the other. Yeonjun had many questions, but he didn't know if it was the right time. Especially not at dinner, because he knew how Taehyun could react if something shocked him.
