Chapter One Part Six (Final Part of Chapter One)

Lady Jillian said nothing.
"Did you have your servants and slaves killed?" Vex asked not giving her anything to answer the other question.
She said nothing for a few minutes.
"N-n-no I-I-I d-did n-no-t k-kill anyone" she was stuttering even worse now she barely got out a full word.
Onyx growled again the concubine was shaking from head to toe and stepped back away from the dragon. She looked to the Councilman if she hoped to hide behind him for him to protect her that it not the look she received Nigel was glaring at her a look of pure disgust on his face. But that was nothing compared to how the new Concubine was looking at her. She was looking at Lady Jillian with pure hatred.
The new Concubine walked forward and slapped her across the face so hard the sound echoed thought out the room.
"You killed my sister. Why?"
Now I get her reaction. I have never met Lady Kirri she mostly stayed at home and didn't attend any events unless it was necessary for her to.
Lady Jillian stood there glaring at the other concubine she didn't say anything. My father made a gesture for the guards to take her away.
"I am truly sorry for causing you so much trouble" Councilman Kirri said bowing to us.
"It is not your fault" My father stands up and leads them out of the room.
Onyx laid back down behind the throne.
"Well that didn't take long" Vex turns to look at me "You can't keep her."
"Keep who?"
"The girl she will be sent back to Wintervale. It's where she belongs. Hopefully she is the last one. Those from Wintervale have attacked us in a way we can't fight back. There wall keeps everyone out that they don't want in."
"What makes you think I want to keep her."
"Kier."
"He just recognized her, that is all."
"That's not true and you know it. There are rumors of that they have the power of Ice dragons now if that is need that case that would mean she is from the ice dragon line. She is of a different blood line but it is still dragon blood. Kier did recognize her but not because she looks different it's because he saw her dragon blood.
"What of The Snow Leopard? Is she part snow cat as well?"
"I've learned a lot about Wintervale over the years. They if what I have learned is correct they have two animals that they believe to be scared. The Ice Dragon and The Snow Leopard. The snow Leopard is now at her side and Keir protected her and avenged her. Does that sound logical to you."
"Those two type of animals do not attack their own. That means she is either a decent of both or is very good at bending Dragons and Leopards to her will."
"If my research is correct only one or the other chooses one person. They call it a bond and protect each other."
"That's can't be right."
"We saw it ourselves not an hour ago."
"Women do not have dragon's."
"No, our women don't have dragons. Wintervale is completely different it depends on the person but I believe it's entirely possible for women over there to possess dragons. I'm not sure if there dragons are born with them like ours are or if the dragon simply finds them worthy. Either way I highly doubt she will tell us."
With that Vex leaves the room. He is right though.
