Jisoo's POV

"Would you mind joining in dinner with me?" I asked Jennie who is busy staring at the cherry blossom tree.

"Oh yes sure. I didn't ate lunch also." She said now taking pictures.

"Why? Are you sick? Is something happened? I told you not to skip you me--" I stopped myself from rambling. I'm kind embarrassed. I'm showing worry for her again.

She giggled, looking at me. "I'm totally fine chichu. I'm just feeling a bit stressed nothing else. Thanks for worrying."

I rolled my eyes, trying to act cold. "Tsk, don't think too much. Anyways let's go eat, I know a restaurant nearby."

I was about to get up when she stopped me. "Wait wait... don't you think we will face the same situation like before?"

Oh yes, last time everyone was staring at us and it went viral on social media. "Then where should we go?"

"I actually know a granny who sells really delicious ramen, fish cakes and teokbokki. That place is small and almost empty." She said.

I agreed as she lead me towards the shop. We don't bring our car, that place is like 5 mins walk. We are walking side by side until I fell her touching my hand probably trying to hold it. I move away from her. I look at her from the corner of my eyes and saw her pouting. I couldn't help but to smile slightly. That's her cute and innocent side which I loved once.

We arrived in the small ramen restaurant and ordered the foods. As the foods prepared, I decided to ask her about her parents.

"Jennie, how's your mom dad? Last time I had news about them almost 1 year ago."

"Oh... they are in our old home. They retired from their work and put everything in my hand. I uh also didn't have any news about them in last 4 months." Her voice laced in sadness as she looked around trying to avoid me gaze.

"Why?" I asked.

"I-I was busy..."

"Tell me the truth. Did you forget about them after taking over the comp--"

"No I do not. It's them who forget about me." She look down fiddling with her fingers. I didn't said anything as she continued.

"They tried to stop my madness about getting wild and living a very messy life. Dad had a few strokes and he is paralyzed now totally. So mom decided to give the company to me as she needs to take care of dad. Mom is disappointed at me, though its normal. The most painful part is they disowned me. They totally stopped talking to me. When... you came back I called them but mom didn't even let me tell them anything and told me to stop contacting them." She clenched her fists.

I understand all of their situation. They are in pain, so is Jennie. She always missed her family.

"Just because they left you that doesn't mean you are gonna leave them also. You are their only child Jennie. You have responsibilities for your parents. In a few weeks it is your parents marriage anniversary right?" I asked.

She looks up at me amazed. "Uh yeah."

"Then visit them on that day."

"I'm scared you know. I don't even know what to say and if she said anything bad maybe I will also snap and it'll not end up well." She shook her head.

"Don't worry I'll be there with you." I said not thinking twice.

It's no harm to meet them. They always wish good for me, not like my own parents. I sighed internally, my parents not even once come to see me. Am I that unwanted to them?

I snapped out of my thoughts when Jennie hold my fist. "I know what you are thinking about. I really don't know why your parents are not worried or concerned about your come back."

She slowly rubbing circles on the back of my hand soothingly.

"I don't care... they never really think about me.." I trailed off, those sad memories are coming back. My parents always wanted me to be the perfect girl, so they can marry me off to someone rich to grow their busines.

"Here your order beautiful ladies." We both startled by the granny who is holding the tray of our foods.

I quickly help her to put down the bowls. She looks really old.

"Thank you so much granny. Your foods are my favorite." Jennie said showing her cutest gummy smile.

"Aigoo! I almost didn't recognized you Jennie. Who is this beautiful lady with you?" Granny asked smiling at me. "Oh! She is your wife, the one you always ramble about."

"Y-yah granny, don't embarrass me please." Jennie said blushing red. I couldn't help but to giggle.

"You two look perfect together. Enjoy your meal. I don't want to disturb you two hahahaha.." she left, leaving both of us in an awkward silence.

"Oh uhm let's eat the foods or it will be cold." She said started to eat.

"Are you somehow feeling shy?" I smirked as she choked.

"M-me feeling shy? Chu you know me. I never feel sh--" I wiped her lips with the tissue leaning close towards her. She blushed harder, and her face looks like a tomato.

"Bwahahahahaha!!! Your reaction is priceless!" I keep on laughing as she glared at me.

After that we started to eat silently, to fill our empty stomach. I noticed her eyeing my dumplings plate. I know it's her one of her favorite so I pushed it towards her.

"Here eat it. I'm full." I said, she smiled brightly.

"Thank you!" She started to eat. Why is she so cute?

"I know I'm cute." She smirked, making me look away blushing.

After our dinner we started to walk towards the lake again. The sun sets already but the light is still making the sky beautiful.

"Can I ask you something?" She asked.

I nodded.

"What.. exactly happened that night af-after you left the house?" She stuttered.

This is the most sensitive part to begin with.

"I... I am not prepared to answer that one." I said staring at the sky. I can feel her staring at me. I think she understand that's why she doesn't force me.

I feel her pinky finger touching my hand. I didn't said anything, just hold her hand, intertwined our fingers. I see her smile from the corner of my eyes and give my hand a squeeze.

I bite my lip to stop smiling. It feels good to hold her hand again. It's true that I had a very bad past with her, yet we make some good memories which will always makes me soft for her. It doesn't mean I'll fall for her again. In second thought, I never really let her explain her side. I'm on my guard so I think I should let her explain why did she tried to kill me.

Sometimes I think, is that really her or someone else?
