"Just because I don't show it. Doesn't mean i don't feel it"

✦ ✧ ✦

"Who's her?" I questioned.

"The Devil herself, Zillah.
She is the strongest person I have ever known. She was my worst enemy. She burned down the whole empire and destroyed everything."

"What was her army like? Dragons? Phoenixes? How many were there?" I was shocked.

"None. She was alone."

I looked Celeste shocked in the eyes while her eyes watered. I wanted to give her a hug but she started talking again.

"Sit down, i'll explain what she did and why." She pointed at the round table and i walked to it and sat on a random seat.

"Zillah was an incredibly loyal woman. She was my mothers guardian. So, Zillah always protected her as her job. While doing her job I got to meet her of course. We became best friends. We were always together and we never had an argument. Until a specific person got into the castle and shot my mother. She survived with the healers' help. Zillah tried to protect her but could only catch the guy who shot my mother. Zillah directly killed him. My mother was somehow angry at Zillah for not protecting her or me. And brutally killing the guy. Zillah tried to explain she did it for me and my mother, but everyone in the castle started to hate her. They called her a monster when they found out how she killed him. Zillah always had a short temper and burned down this whole room out of rage. I admit I was not on my mothers side. Zillah couldn't prevent it on time. Zillah left a note in my room, saying she will leave the castle and hide in a house somewhere in the empire," Celeste said.

Damn, I feel sorry for Zillah.

"Zillah hid somewhere in the empire and I tried to find her. When I found her, we talked for a while. Just being best friends again. But the guards of the castle stormed inside the building. They tried to capture Zillah but she escaped with a huge explosion. I was hurt but I healed myself with the help of the guards. Zillah always thought i betrayed her, she thought i wanted her dead for not protecting my mother. I never wanted that to happen. I was furious at my mother. She screamed at me and told me when I become 18 years old I would become the next Queen of the empire. I wasn't happy about it because it was a difficult job.
Later I realized why she wanted to give the crown so fast to me." Celeste looked down and sighed heavily while a tear rolled down her cheek.

"S-She made me queen so I had to f-fight Zillah instead of her and her friends. She took e-everyone out of the castle and took them somewhere, I don't even know where she is. I never saw her again. But then after 5 years Z-Zillah attacked and destroyed everything. I f-fought on my own.
My powers were n-nothing compared to her." while she sobbed i walked over to her and wrapped my arms around her waist and layed my chin on her head. I was like 10 centimeters taller than her. I had no clue how I was supposed to comfort her or show that I support her, a hug is good right?

"I couldn't protect the city, so many people died because I didn't have the strength. I wish I could have done more," she sniffled.

"It's not your fault. You just didn't have the people to tell you how to fight. And stop blaming it on you. Zillah attacked okay? You didn't. I know Zillah did it out of rage but she had a choice. And she took the wrong one."

"T-Thank you."

"It's okay, I'm here for you."

Her arms were wrapped around my neck as she leaned her head on my chest. Her soft hair tickled my chin. She wiped her tears with her sleeve and started speaking again.

"I still need to tell you why I brought you here," she stated while she took a step back from the hug. I nodded and sat in my seat.

"After the huge fight I was able to hit Zillah with a secret power I learned. Alora's Viper. Alora was an angel with the strongest light powers in the world. She was able to blind multiple people in one hit. The thing I learned from her is her Viper attack. It was a strong beam of light that would be shot at a specific target. If you could hit your target's heart they would die for a short time," Celeste explained.

"Let me guess, you were able to hit Zillah right in her heart?"

"Yes, I did. And it worked," She answered.

"Zillah fell down to the ground, I flew towards her and caught her in mid air. I brought her to the mountains around the empire. I created a portal to a very dark place where she could be locked away.
I brought her to her own place. In the 5 years she disappeared she created her own castle on a mountain far away from living creatures, only dragons lived there. I brought her into her own castle and when I tied her down she woke up. She blew me away but fell again. She couldn't fight me because of Alora's Viper attack.
I created a force field around her castle, impossible for her to escape. She's still there if I'm correct," Celeste confirmed.

"Now here is the problem. You, Rowan, have something that belongs to Zillah. And believe me, she wants it back".

I looked shocked. I felt fear. My body began to shake.

"Me? What do I have?" I asked in fear.

"I'll explain. As I said , Zillah has multiple powers. One of those were her shadow transportation powers. Her wings allowed her to use her shadow powers to travel anywhere, and I mean ANYWHERE. If she wanted she could just teleport right into this castle. And she's able to make her body unbreakable, it was impossible to stab her or cut her. But let's just say I took her powers away and locked them away in the castle. But someone released those powers. They were directly pulled towards Zillah but there was no portal to Zillah's cell. Right at the moment someone or something came back from the human world, the power pushed itself into your world and took a random body. And it was you. You have Zillah's power in your possession Rowan ''. Celeste explained.

"How do I get rid of the power? How do I give it back?" I was scared. I scratched my head and tapped on the floor with my foot.
Celeste sat next to me and her wings came out of her back, her left wing wrapping around me. I chuckled and looked at her.

"I am not capable of getting rid of your powers now. I can't take the same power out of someone twice. There is just one person who could do it."

We looked at each other and both knew who that specific person had to be.

This is NOT Zillah's backstory by the way! The story that Celeste told is just the reason why she burned down Arcelia
