"Progress,not perfection"

*Celeste's POV*

"Hey, wake up. Wake up!" A voice screamed in my ear while I felt sleepy and exhausted. As I opened my eyes I saw Raven sitting next to me. "H-Hey..what happened?" I mumbled as I tried to sit straight, but couldn't because of a sudden pain in my shoulder. "You were hit by a black arrow. I pulled it out but I don't know what it is or how I'm supposed to heal it." She looked worried. "It's not your fault, thank you for taking it out. I'll do the healing myself." I placed my free hand on my shoulder and felt a hot-dry substance on my shoulder. I was hit by a Necrotic arrow. But how? Only Zillah knows how to use it. It's the most dangerous element someone could ever control. How did they make arrows of it?

That's when we heard a loud roar coming down from the waterfall. As I looked at the cliff a group of dragons flew down towards us. I looked closer and recognized them instantly. It was Arka and Willow.

The wyverns flew down as and landed in front of us, slightly in the water. Down here was a large cave going into the mountains. At the beginning was a small beach and large sharp rocks pointing out of the ceiling from the cave. The cave was full of water with large crystals in the walls. The water had a beautiful colour blue but slowly burned wood and broken crystal were falling down the waterfall, all coming from the city. Something was happening up there.

Willow slowly came closer but Arka dashed towards me and licked my face. "S-Stop! Arkaaa." I laughed as Willow stood behind Arka looking down to the ground. She was always the shy one, never able to walk up to someone and ask for attention. Arka didn't care she took it herself.

"Come here Willow." I held my hand in the air and she slowly came closer and slowly pushed her nose against my hand. Arka screeched as she looked at Raven. "Yeah I'm here too." Raven sort of waved as I chuckled at seeing her face.

"Raven," I looked at her as she looked at the wyverns. "Yeah wassup." She held her hand in the air as Arka directly pushed her head against the smaller hand.

"Why are you even here?I don't want you to get hurt in a war you have nothing to do with." Raven directly glanced at me as she stroked Arka's chin.
"Escaping family. My father wanted me to fight in The Devil's Cave so I could earn money. It's an underground arena. He made me train all day and took every fight that was available for me. But then I had to fight a strong woman, and she bit off my leg, she was way stronger than me.. It healed in 3 months but my father said I was weak and wanted me to train even more. Even though I wasn't able to walk normally. And my mother stood by and watched, she hated me. She said that the worst day of her life was me being born." Raven chuckled as she looked at Arka. "But I don't care about them anymore. I want to help you, because you didn't see me as a monster. You are somehow able to see the good in people first. And somehow you trusted me with helping you to get to the tower in Tempest. I just want to return the favor." Raven grinned as I smiled at her for trusting me.

"I'm sorry for your parents, you can live here in Arcelia if you want after this war." I smiled as her eyes widened. "T-Thank you." She smiled as I nodded. "Lets now focus on your health and get to Zillah and Rowan.'' Raven grabbed my shoulders slowly and tried pushing me up so I could sit straight. I groaned as I held the black wound in my left shoulder. Willow layed next to me and placed her neck behind my back, trying to support my body while the pain went through my arm. I closed my eyes and placed my right hand on the spreading wound. Thin black lines were spreading over my shoulder. If the Necrotic goes through my heart It's over...I need to get it out as fast as I can. I focused on my hand and tried to draw the darkness from the necrotic into my hand. My hand started to feel heavy as my shoulder began to burn. I heard Arka screech and Raven gasped, they could probably see the black substance flow towards my hand. My hand began to burn as I felt my shoulder relax. I opened my eyes and saw the black substance devouring my whole hand, trying to grow. My hand was pitch-black and started moving again. I quickly looked around as Raven looked confused.
