"No one's POV"
Bones laid on the ground as a large pool of blood laid under it. The woman had her eyes closed as a group of men pierced her body with spears. There was no mercy. She couldn't take a deep breath and couldn't move. Nothing.
Their leader walked into her cell and smiled as he saw the hurt woman.
"You actually thought I would give you this body and give you a chance to get your strength back? Of Course not." He kicked her right into her head. The woman wasn't sad or hurt mentally. She knew she was going to escape. She just needed the right moment in the arena because that's the only moment her power was unlocked.
The group of men left the room as the leader stayed and sat in front of her.
"I don't want to keep you stuck like this forever. I want to give you the option to work for me- I mean with me. We can work together and achieve our goals. With your power and my army we can get anything we want. But I don't know if I can trust you, can i?" He laughed and made a sign with his hands behind his back for someone to come.
"The choice is in your hands. Stay here forever or work with me. It's all up to you." He turned around and walked away as another man walked in with a bucket.
The woman closed her eyes as she knew what was in it. Water. He threw the water on her as the pain shot through her whole body. The man laughed and walked away.
Is she even capable of staying alive?
"Rowans POV"
We flew the whole day and we left the mountain area. We now flew over fields and some forests.
Celeste said we could reach Empire Tempest this evening. It scares me a little thinking about it but I don't really have a choice.
Imber flew down to the ground as Arka and Madlock followed. We landed on a field with some trees and a lake in the middle. Madlock,Arka and Imber walked over to the lake and started drinking the water as Celeste leaned against a tree. Lee sat in front of her and I sat next to them.
"Rowan, do you know what ghouls are?" Celeste asked. I just shook and listened.
"Ghouls are basically people with human form but they have some abilities that make them far different from humans. Their bodies are resistant to injuries. And they can't eat any normal food like you do. The only thing they eat is human flesh." I looked shocked at Celeste.
Excuse me miss?!
"They have a hard, muscle-like protrusion described as their claws called the kagune. It can take the form of a pair of sharp wings, tentacle-like appendages, a tail, or a blade-like object. They are incredibly strong and have something special with their eyes.
Their irises turn red and round it turns all black. It can appear because of hunger, when they use their kagune or just when they want to," celeste stated as she looked at me and Lee. I just nodded.
"And why are you telling me this?"
"Because Empire Tempest is full of ghouls and they can smell the scent of a human. So we need to think of something before we get there. If they smell your scent and they notice that you're a human, they will attack." Lee grabbed his chin and thought about Celeste her words. I was just scared.
Those dudes want to eat me.
"Rowan can take Madlock and fly above the tower and enter from there. We can go from the ground." Lee stood up and took on Madlock. Celeste nodded and took place on Imber so it took place on Arka. And we took off.
We were flying for hours and finally came into a new area. It was just black fields burnt down to the ground. There were trees with black leaves. The only thing there was were ashes.
"We are getting close." Celeste shouted as the dragons roared to each other.
In the distance was a small house and Madlock dived straight towards it. Like he knew what it was.
"Is Madlock tired?" Celeste yelled towards Lee and he just shouted yes back. Kinda weird but sure. We all landed next to the small cabin. As Lee slowly pulled out a sword. I didn't even know he had that kind of weapon.
He opened the door as a man jumped out and punched Lee right in his face. He jumped upwards and somehow he jumped really high and stood on his roof. How can you jump so high? Oh wait a minute this is not the human world stupid me.
"Who are you?! Why are you here?!" He shouted frustrated. Lee stood up and put his sword away. Arka, Imber and Madlock were ready to attack. Celeste looked at them and told them to stay calm. They all walked backwards and sat down.
"We come from Arcelia. We won't hurt you in any way. We just came to see if there was anyone alive. This is Rowan and this is Lee, they are my friends and won't hurt you." Celeste smiled.
He looked confused but jumped down from the roof. He opened the door of his cabin as he invited us inside. "Come in."
We walked inside and sat on the brown couch. Inside was a mess, things were on the ground, clothes were on the chairs, which I can relate too.
"I-I'm sorry for the mess. I try to keep things clean but I'm not really good at it." He smiled ashamed but Celeste smiled back.
"It's okay you don't have to apologize, can I ask you some questions though?" Celeste asked with a grin.
"O-Ofcourse"
"What's your name?" Celeste smiled at him to make him feel comfortable.
"I'm Gavril." He grinned as we introduced ourselves too. He was shorter than me and had gray hair and a beard. But he looked really friendly.
"Do you have any powers?" Celeste asked.
"Yes I'm a ghoul but I don't eat humans so you don't have to worry!" He smiled at me. This dude is a human killer, how do I know he's not gonna rip off my goddamn arm?!
"Why do you live here?" Celeste asked.
"I used to live in Empire Tempest but the queen disappeared so a group of men took the opportunity to rule over the empire. I had to work for them and bring them food, but there was no food anymore in the empire, because no one can travel to the human world except for the queen. She went to the human world to kill humans, she was the only one that knew how to travel through other worlds. But somehow she disappeared and no one was able to get any food. So i went out here to kill some animals to bring food to my family and friends." The man looked sad and nervous. He was hungry, he looked pale in his face. I ran outside and grabbed a package of food and ran back. I gave it to the man.
"We will take you back to Empire Tempest and you can give this to your family." I smiled as he smiled back and hugged me.
"Thank you so much, you have no idea how thankful i am! Oh- and sorry for punching you." He shook Lee's hand and gave Celeste a hug.
He grabbed a large backpack with his own important stuff. He placed it with my backpack and sat behind me on Arka as he started eating, but I didn't mind.
And so we took off again.
"Do you actually know what the queen of Tempest looks like? Do you know her name?" Celeste asked the man.
"No one knows her name, and only a few know what she looks like." He answered.
Celeste nodded and looked forward again with an uncertain face. I'm curious about the people of Tempest but scared of course. It slowly began to get darker and we came closer to Tempest according to the man. We will just go there, convince Zillah to help and leave. Lets just hope it will work out well.
