I COUGHED INTO A tissue as a sniffle followed after. I was sick. I'm pretty sure I got it from one of the kids at the daycare I work at.
I blew my nose, tossing the snot-filled tissue into the trash can beside the bed that was overflowing with tissues and cough drop wrappers. Ski came in with a damp cloth, placing it on my forehead.
the cold towel made me shudder but I soon got used to the feeling.
"I'm hungry" I pouted like a young child. I coughed once more. Stokely jumped back
"whatchu wanna eat," he said, wiping his forearm off, making me give him a 'really' look. He just smiled. I rolled my eyes, lowly sighing. Saying I was getting mad was an understatement.
I soon got out my feelings and pondered as to what my stomach craved to eat. I finally concluded and spoke confidently; "I want Chick-Fil-A," I said, a confident grin plastered upon my face. Stokely's face contorted into a look of confusion as he questioned where the confidence came from.
He shook his head slowly in a 'yes' manner and turned on his phone, tapping on it. I smiled contently as I waited for the food to arrive.

I and Stokely both heard a knock from downstairs, making my face light up. I ran down, Stokely walking behind me. I rushed to open the door, greeted by the bug-eyed delivery woman who was obviously startled.
I grabbed Stokely's wallet (which I had taken when he wasn't looking) and paid her, grabbing our food from her.
I closed the door and jogged to the living room couch, opening the bag and grabbing my hot, heaven-sent food. My mouth watered as the smell flooded my senses, making me feel high.
I immediately dug in, making Stokely laugh at me. "What's so funny" I said, with my mouth full making my words come out slurred. It only put him into more laughter, making my eyebrows furrow even more.
"nun, don't worry bout it"
