Amanda.

It was the fourth of March and she was excited. Not because it was a holiday or something.

It was his birthday.

She had been preparing for it for quite a long time. She wanted to make this the best birthday of his life.

She looked at herself in the mirror.

She was ready.

"Are you ready, Amanda?" Noah poked his head in the room and asked.

She was standing in Jung's room. He wasn't home as he was working part-time in a nearby bakery.

"Yes, Are you?" She asked.

"Yes. Everyone's downstairs. Come on."

From everyone, he meant Jung's grandparents, his mother, and some of his friends.

"Let's go." She nodded and followed him downstairs.

He was turning twenty-two today.

Amanda looked around the backyard. She had kept it all simple. Jung liked simplicity.

"He'll love this." His mother told Amanda.

"I hope so." She was nervous.

"He's very happy with you Amanda. Thank you."

"I'm glad I make him happy."

And she was. She never thought she'll love him so much.

She always wanted to think about him.

She always wanted to spend time with him.

She was hopelessly in love with him.

Her thoughts were interrupted when Noah told her that he had arrived.

She went inside and switched off all the lights.

"He's coming!" She heard Noah tell everyone.

Amanda ran a hand through her hair and walked towards the door. She wanted to kiss him before he went to the backyard.

Jung.

He entered the house and took off his shoes. He was tired. Amanda hadn't called him all day. He was feeling as if all his energy had been drained out of him.

"Noa-," He opened his mouth to call Noah but he stopped as soon he saw his beautiful girl walking towards him.

"Amy?" He frowned. What was she doing here?

"Happy Birthday, love." She said and kissed him. He wrapped his arms around her, instantly feeling fresh.

"You remembered?" He asked once they pulled away.

"Of course, I did." She replied, taking his hand in hers.

"Let's go."

"Is it just you and me?" He asked.

They were walking towards the backyard.

"Why are the lights off? What are you planning?" He asked.

"I know what you're thinking," She said.

He grinned.

"Hey, just tell me already." He squeezed her hand.

She stopped and turned around to face him.

"Whatever you want, you'll get it today." She told him.

"Anything?" He asked.

"Yes." She kissed him again and he smiled.

They finally reached the backyard she placed her hand over his eyes.

"What is it?" He asked.

"Just something." She replied.

She led him outside and removed her hand.

"Happy Birthday!" He looked around and his eyes went wide.

He couldn't believe it. His family was here.

"Amy." He turned towards her and hugged her.

"Thank you." He whispered.

"Anything for you," She smiled.

He went over to his mother and grandparents and hugged them.

He didn't even know that they were coming.

Next, he greeted his friends. It was probably, no actually the best birthday ever.

A couple of hours later, he had cut the cake and everyone had given him their gifts.

Now, he and Amanda were sitting on the living room couch. They were alone now.

"Thank you so much for today." He whispered while kissing her softly.

She pulled away and looked at him.

"I wanted to do this for you. And uh... well there's this thing."

"What?"

She got up and went over to the kitchen. She came back moments later, she was holding a small gift-wrapped box.

"What's that?" He asked.

"It's just something I knew you wanted." She handed him the box and looked down at her hands. She was blushing.

"You already gave me a gift."

"No. That was something you deserved. Everyone should celebrate their birthdays with their families. But this is your real gift."

He smiled and started to free the box from the gift paper.

"You can just tear it." She said.

"I don't want to," He smiled and opened the box.

It was a perfume.

Not just a perfume.

The perfume.

"How did you know?" He looked at her and asked.

"I saw how much you liked it the other day, but you never buy things for yourself you're just gifting me things. I wanted to do something for you." She was blushing harder than ever.

"What did I do to deserve you, Amanda?" He asked.

She looked at him and smiled.

"Thank you." He pulled her towards him and kissed her.

Amanda.

He kissed her softly at first and then it turned into a passionate one.

She kissed him back. She knew he wanted her. Just as much as she wanted him.

After a few minutes, he pulled away.

"Let's go." He whispered.

She smiled.

"I thought you'd never ask."

He stood up and held out his hand to her. She took it and stood up too.

He led her to his bedroom and shut the door behind them.

This night was going to be a long and beautiful one.
