Starting Over

Ch. 41

Wanda slept soundly the whole ride back to the safe house. Natasha silently ran her fingers through the girls hair as she slept, knowing that pure exhaustion had caused the girl to sleep without any nightmares. When the jet had landed she gently shook the girl awake.
"Wands, wake up. We' re at the safe house." She said softly. Wanda awoke with panic before her eyes settled in on her mother.
"Hey, hey, you're safe." Natasha reminded her, running a comforting hand over her arm as she pulled them off the bench. "How 'bout we go get you cleaned up, hmm? Do you want anything to eat?"
"Mama, you're bleeding." Wanda interrupts as they make their way off the jet.
"It's just dry. I'll be fine, Malysh, just a graze." Natasha reassures her. "I'll patch it up after we get you settled in."
"We're staying here?" Wanda asks
"Just for the night, that okay?"  She replies. Wanda nods, into her side as they make there way to the porch. Steve had went ahead of them to make sure that the little ones didn't barge into Wanda as soon as they entered. This doesn't necessarily help.

"Sissy!" Lia jumps up from the couch as soon as her mother and sister enter the front door.
"Easy, Lia" Steve reminds her as she runs towards them, skidding to a stop a few steps away.
"Hurt." Lia frowns as soon as she sees Wanda.
"I'm okay." Wanda says resuming her role of older sister easily. She bends down to her knees despite the soreness coursing throughout her body. She holds out a hand for the younger girl. Lia takes tentative steps towards her. 
"Wan'a..." she says bottom lip forming a pout.
"Come here." She pulls the younger into her arms as tears run down both their cheeks.
"I've missed you so much." Wanda says running a soothing hand down her sisters back "so, so much"
"Miss 'ou, Wan'a... Scared." Lia says through her tears
"Me too." Wanda replies. Steve and Natasha share a glance over their daughters heads, before Luna is reaching out for Natasha, babbling mama over and over.
Wanda pulls away from Lia after the girls tears have stopped. She keeps her hands on her little shoulders, placing a kiss on each of her cheeks.
Lia stays attentively in front of her sister, watching, taking in the sight. Wanda smiles
"What are you doing Malysh?"
"No leav'n, no more." Lia replies her small hands on the sides of Wanda's face.
"Okay." She replies. The little girl places a kiss to her cheek, copying the teens previous actions before going to back to her toys on the rug.

"Got time for a few more reunions?" Wanda looks up at Clint as he gives her a hand off the floor. She lets herself be pulled into his arms, aside from Steve or Natasha, he's the place she feels the most safe.
"You scared the hell out of us." He says as he pulls away from her
"I scared the hell out of myself." Wanda replies.
"You hurt, anything bothering you?" Clint asks as his eyes check over her body.
"I'll be fine, but mama does have a graze on her shoulder that needs bandaged." Wanda says pointing to the couch.
"Watch this." Clint says heading towards the couch, where Steve and Natasha are talking.
"Tash, is there anything you want to tell me?" Clint asks sending the spy a pointed look
"Hey, don't look at me that way. What are you going on about, Clinton?" Natasha raises an eyebrow from the couch. She follows his gaze to her shoulder.
"You just gonna ignore that?" He asks
"How'd that get there?" Natasha asks faking surprise as Clint pulls her off the couch, depositing the baby that was in her arms in Wanda's . Steve looks at the situation in amusement.
"Gotta watch this one, Cap, she likes to hide her injuries... come on, let's go, gotta get this fixed." Clint says as he pulls her towards the bathroom. "Little witch's orders."

Steve chuckles at Clint's antics before he nods his head for Wanda to sit next to him. Luna smiles on her sisters lap, chubby hands exploring her face. Wanda places a kiss to her open palm and the baby laughs. It's like music to her ears.
"You feeling alright?" Steve asks, Wanda's eyes never leaving her little sister.
"I missed this so much. I'm glad they didn't forget me." Wanda says giving him a bittersweet smile.
"Hey, we could never forget you. We all love you so much." Steve starts "I want you to know that we didn't stop looking for you, not once."
"Thanks, Dad." Wanda says allowing herself to lean into his shoulder.
"Wawa" Luna babbles.
"Did you hear that?" Steve asks a smile forming on his face.
"Who's this?" He asks pointing to Wanda
"Wawawawa" Luna says more happily this time. Wanda face breaks into a huge smile.
"My girls, I love you so much." He says kissing both their heads.
"Me too, daddy." Lia interrupts from the carpet.
"Yes, Lia, you too." He smiles
"And mama." Lia adds again
"Yes, mama too." Steve laughs
