A/N: Yeah, another pokemon with a dark description behind it. But before I bring up the backstory, let me give a quick run down on this new pokemon.
This is Basculegion.

It is the evolved state of Basculin.

(after a long time, a 5th gen pokemon is getting new form in a Sinnoh related materal).
Basculin evolves when it "is possessed by the souls of other Basculin from its school that could not withstand the harsh journey upstream." Additionally, it gains power from the souls possessing it, granting it the ability to swim without tiring. However, those souls also seem to have a will of its own, which means that it will occasionally attack other Pokemon without warning.
And I think anyone who know's about GMK Godzilla will see that this is very similar to his origin, even down to the fact that it'll attack other creatures without warning. Only difference is that GMK Godzilla is more malicious.
