The film will be directed by Takashi Yamazaki, who did the Always: Sunset on Third Street films (which Godzilla made a cameo in), Dragon Quest: Your Story, Lupin III: The First and even directed Godzilla: The Ride.
Yamazaki is seemingly "Aiming for a tremendous Godzilla" And the film has already finished filming, with it currently in the editing stage. Also, The film is also reportedly going to take place in a post-war japan.
This is the first time since 2016 that we're getting another film from TOHO, so I'm really curious to see how everything in this film will go.
