"Hey, Aspyn," I heard. "A,"

My eyes fluttered open to the sound of my name. "What?" I groaned, turning onto my side to face Kelce.

"You have to go! My parents are gonna be home any fucking minute!"

"What?!" I yelled, shooting up into a sitting position. "You said they were gone for the weekend!"

"They were supposed to be!" He replied. "I just checked my phone to see a text that they're on their way home!"

"How long do we have?" I asked.

"Literal fucking minutes. They texted me an hour ago and they're staying an hour away,"

"Shit!" I hissed

Kelce hopped to his feet and threw me my shirt, which had been on the floor. I pulled it over my head then quickly searched the room for the rest of my things.

Kelce's parents were supposed to be out of town for the weekend, so he took me to his place after the party. One thing led to another and, yeah, we did it.

"Where's my bag?" I huffed, looking around.

"I'll find it later. You have to get out of here now!" He said.

I nodded. "Yeah, okay,"

"Go out the back door. I'll see you later,"

I went to rush out of the door but stopped in my tracks, turning back around toward Kelce. Grabbing his face, I pulled him into a quick kiss. "See you later," I said, stepping back.

Leaving the room, I made my way through the house and quietly slipped out the back door. Just as I had gotten outside, Kelce's parents pulled into the driveway.

Letting out a sigh of relief, I hopped their backyard fence and started walking home. I had dropped my bike off at Tannyhill before heading to Kelce's, but it wasn't too far of a walk.

-

I cut through backyards and in between buildings to shorten the walk, and eventually ended up back home.

"Where were you last night?" I heard a very familiar voice ask as I approached my room.

I turned to face her. "Why do you even care, Wheezie?"

"Well, I'm not stupid. I know you, Rafe, and Sarah went to a party last night," She said. "But you didn't come home,"

"How would you know?" I asked. "Do you stay up waiting for us to get back or some shit?"

"Yep," She replied without a beat of hesitation.

Of course, that was something she actually did.

I sighed. "Look, Wheezie-"

"Come on!" She pried. "I'm curious!"

"Don't ever interrupt me!" I snapped, shooting her a glare. That was one of my biggest annoyances.

She jumped at my change of tone. "Sorry," She muttered, looking at the ground.

"Yeah, uh-huh," I scoffed. "Go,"

She hastily went to her room, being sure to shut the door behind her.

"Goddammit," I sighed, resting my head in my hands. I hated snapping on Wheezie like that.

Unfortunately, I was unable to control it. When something annoyed or upset me, I would react instantly, not stopping to consider what I had said or done until after the fact. It was something that just happened.
