Sorry for the slow update School just smacked me in the fucking face.

————————————————————————

"Yeah me and cat have a lot of day trips together but that was the time we met Will Smith." Marcello explains to Lucia who seems to be oddly intrigued.
My gaze shifts to Damien who's hand has been resting on my thigh for a while now, thumb continuously brushing up and down my bare skin.

"So what exactly is the relation between all of you?" Lucia asks me.
"Um well, Malachai is my brother, Cebrian is a peasant we pulled off the street, Marcello is-." My eyes on Damien, his brother.
"Marcello is an orphan we adopted and Damien is-." I cut myself off looking at him.
What the fuck are we?
I think on that momentarily though Marcello saves me from a great train of thought by once again discussing his species.

"What am I Fiamma?" (Flame) He whispers loud enough for only me to hear.
You're the bad parts of me that I'm in love with.
"You're just someone I like to fuck." I roll my eyes sarcastically.
He smirks at my response lifting his head away from me, "You sure that's all?"
"Yup Damien, I happen to like your dick, not you. I'm using you, feel fraudulent." I shrug gulping down my drink.

"No love, it's more than that. You look at me with 'fuck me' eyes but I still remember the way your heart pulses when I touch your skin, when you feel my breath or the way it stops for a second when you say my name." His hand squeezes my thigh causing a heat to rush through my body.

"It's the dick Damien. Shit that's alliteration, dick Damien. Ha. I'm gonna call you that now." I enlighten him.
"Alright T. It's the dick." His eyes tell me he's planning something.
The meal continues as such, Marcello carrying most of the conversation, Malachai trying not to throw himself out of the first window and me trying not to move and remind Damien that his hand rests on my thigh. It's torture.

"I'm gonna check on Milo." I announce looking for any excuse to leave the table.
"She's fine." Damien raises his eyebrow at me knowing my desire to leave.
"She's probably raiding your gun collection." I argue not realising Lucia is here.
"I mean the collection that is completely Legal and authorised by the government." I clear my throat and retreat before further objection.
Well, Milo was knocked out as I anticipated. I sat on the edge of her bed watching her strangle a toy in her sleep.
"Damien's good, for me I mean. He's good for me." I speak.
You're literally talking to an unconscious child you weirdo.
Therapists are expensive shut up.

"Why am I scared? I shouldn't be, he wouldn't hurt me but I'm terrified to love him deeper." I sigh admitting only the truth.
"Why are you so still? Talk peasant." I demand folding my arms annoyed.
After my brief, completely unhelpful therapy session I exit Milo's room and head for my own. Honestly I didn't care for what I did, I just didn't want to be at dinner with no appetite whilst listening to Marcello talk about his next day trip with cat.

"Not hungry?" A voice caused me to jump as I enter my room. I didn't need to see a face, I'd recognise his voice from opposite seas.
"Not hungry." I reply analysing him lean against my wall and fiddle with the crooked stacked books on my bedside table.
"I'd rather you not look inside those." I point to my annotations inside of the books.
"Why? Because you underline every sentence where the male character talks and write 'whore' beside it?" He smirks slightly looking at my words and not me.
"That and the other words you'd have to see if you kept reading." I enlighten him.
"I like to know what's in your head T and words are the easiest way to that." He comes closer to me. "Tell me some words."

"Bitch." I announce.
What? It's a word.
He grows closer, my copy of pride and prejudice curled between his fingers.
"Have a little compassion on my nerves, you tear them to pieces." He recites off the page though his tone would suggest that he was aware of Austen's work already. I had read that single line through a dozen times.
"I don't believe I've ever seen you associate your emotions with literature." I smile off the corner of my mouth.
"This line says more about you than me T." He shakes his head jokingly.
