Chapter 10

I looked over at Sean and Jay who were having the time of their lives. Sean said something that made Jaylin smile and blushed a little.

Not gonna lie I'm happy for Jay but sometimes I get a bit jealous when I see all of her relationships work out for her when every relationship I've ever been in turns to shit.

Sean insisted we took a table to ourselves so that is why I'm sitting at two tables a few chairs down from them.

"Are you gonna order so I can pay?" Geovoni said and I glared at him and rolled my eyes.

My legs were crossed over one another and I held my jaw with my hand that was set on my knee looking bored.

Trust me I wanted to go back to the apartment but this was a big deal to Jaylin.

We've sat here for fifteen minutes now with no words spoken. I was still mad at Geovoni for insulting me earlier. Like who the f*ck in their right mind thinks it okay to say something like that.

"Are you gonna keep ignoring me or should I order for you?"

I mugged him but picked up the menu and started reviewing my options. The shrimp alfredo pasta sounded good so I closed the menu and sat there waiting for the waitress to arrive.

"I'm sorry for the way it came out earlier but I'm just trying to prot-"

"I'm ready to order" I interrupted him and he glared at me while flexing and unflexing his jaw.

The waitress came up to us and it was a fine-looking dark skin guy.

"Good evening what could I get for you" he looked between Goevoni and me.

"Could I get a piece of you and the shrimp alfredo?" I said to the waiter in a very seductive voice.

The waiter laughed and I caught Geovoni looking at me through my perephial vision. I smirked and waited for his response.

"I'm sorry but I'm afraid I'm not available" the waiter smiled at me.

"So when are you?" I cocked my head to the side.

"I'd like the steak with a side of mashed potatoes" Geovoni cleared his throat and I gave him a smug look.

"Ok hang tight and I will be back with your food," the waiter said and disappeared into the back of the restaurant.

"Nice game you got there. I'm sure flirting with a waiter while he's doing his job is acceptable. Nigga was looking at yo cleavage the whole time" Goevoni gave me a tight smile.

"Why does it bother you so much?" I shot back.

"Flaunting yourself to other guys doesn't seem like the behavior a lady should have especially in that " he pointed to my outfit.

"Mmm, so what exactly are you implying?" I clasped my hands together with my elbows on the table.

"A hoe" he looked me dead in the eyes without a smile on his face.

Unbelievable

I bursted out laughing and Geovoni looked at me like I was crazy but on the inside, I was imagining stabbing him multiple times in the chest.

He's just doing this to get me all riled up. Well, I ain't falling for it.

"Ok," I nodded my head. "Whatever you say"

He looked quite surprised at my reaction and maybe wanted me to go off on him but I didn't.

"By the way I'm paying for my food"

I got a text from my phone and Jay's name popped up. Meet in the bathroom.

I looked over at her and she was already looking at me. I got up from the table and grabbed my purse.

"Where are you going?" Geovoni asked me.

"The ladies room" I rolled my eyes and walked off to the washroom.

A minute later Jay came in with a concerned look on her face.

"What's up?" I asked her.

"I called you in here to ask what's going on with you girl." she eyed me.

"I'm fine" I folded my arms across my chest.

"So how come you and Geovoni ain't talking?" she raised an eyebrow.

"I don't know girl I'm just not feeling it" I shrugged my shoulders.

"C'mon, you can tell me anything" she carried on.

"We got into an argument before we left and I'm mad at his ass"

"What for?"

"It doesn't matter let's just get you back to your date," I said ushering her out the door.

"If I had known I wouldn't let you come here with him" she went on.

"It's fine" I reassured her.

Jay gave me a look.

"Seriously I'm fine"

I made my way back to the table and waited for the waiter to appear with our food.

Geovoni kept glancing at me until I sighed and cleared my throat. "What?"

"You look good" he smiled which caused me to give him a weird look.

Is this nigga bipolar?

Manz was just telling me to change my outfit and now he saying I look good.

"You look decent yourself" I referred to his silk black button-up shirt and black jeans with some black Air Force 1s.

"Look Aniyah I'm really sor-"

"Here you guys go" the waiter appeared with our food in his hands and placed them in front of us.

"What did you say your name was again?" I gave him a curious look.

"Demetrius" he smiled.

"Thank you for the food, Demetrius. Do you mind getting me some wine?"

"For the pretty lady yes I will"

The waiter walked away and Geovoni was glaring at me.

"What I was just being polite" I innocently looked at him but in my head, I was laughing my ass off.
