"You got a boyfriend you didn't tell me bout?" my sister Bre jumped onto my childhood bed beside me.
"Mind ya business," I told her.
"I'm not a baby anymore I turn 15 in two months," she said all mad.
"Yo, momma said come help with the set up downstairs" my brother Jeremiah appeared in the doorway. He was turning eighteen real soon.
"Good cuz I'm starving" I got off the bed. I haven't eaten my mom's home-cooked meals in so long. Feels like forever since I moved to college.
"Aniyah I'm still on yo ass" Bre gave me a serious look.
"He's new," I said and she wrinkled her eyebrows.
"So you ain't with Kyrell no more?" Bre gave me a confused look.
"What?... Bre we broke up in the summer. I told you that"
You did?.... OH SHIT" she cursed with widened eyes. "MOMMA!" she shouted running downstairs.
I followed behind her.
"Bre what's going on?"
There were six plates instead of five placed around the table and I scrunched up my face.
Bre are we expecting a gu-" I got cut off by the doorbell ringing. Momma appeared out of the kitchen with an apron tied around her body.
"Momma I need to talk to you real quick," Bre said as she followed Momma to open the front door.
"Ion got time for it right now" Momma waved her off and placed her hand on the knob.
"No momma it's about K-" Bre tried to finish her sentence but momma opened the door and I almost fainted when I saw who it was.
"Kyrell" Bre finished.
He had a wide smile on his face as he greeted my mom with flowers. "Nice to see you again Paula"
"Thank you dear" Momma said and put the flowers up to her nose.
Kyrell walked into the house and his eyes lit up as soon as he saw me. "Baby," he said as he approached me.
I mugged him just as he pulled me into a hug. I was fighting to get out of his hold when he whispered something into my ear.
"You thought you could pull that shit and get away with it. You can't run away from me"
