"You okay girl?" Jay said when she pushed open my room door.
"Does it look like I am!" I said, frustrated that that every time I try to zip up my jeans the zipper automatically goes back down because of my growing belly.
I think I gained eight pounds in the last month.
"Wear sweatpants or some" Jay suggested.
"My sweatpants are also too small!" I sighed and rolled my eyes. I was getting ready for my monthly check-up appointment to finally determine the sex.
"I know your mood swings all over the place but we could go to the mall after to buy some new stuff and maybe for the baby."
"I'm not keeping the baby Jay, I've been looking at adoption websites recently and I think I've found a few couples I want to meet with already"
"So you're just giving up your baby just like that without any hesitation?"
"Yes, It's what I want. How many times I gotta explain shit to you?" I kissed my teeth.
"I'm just making sure you don't regret losing the baby after you give birth" Jay shrugged her shoulders.
"Just help me put my shoes on it's hard to reach down there," I said, grabbing my white Air Force 1s.
"You sure you alright girl cuz you been acting up ever since you found out Geo-"
"Next topic" I interjected.
"You just mad he chose Kayla over yo ass when you had a chance with him the whole time." Jay grabbed one foot of my shoes and helped me put it on.
"Didn't I say next topic? It's been over a month now and he can date whoever he wants." I heavily sighed.
"I get you but avoiding the subject every time I bring it up only gonna make you feel li-"
"You wanna know how I feel?" I cocked my head to the side. "I feel hungry now hurry up so we can make this doctor's appointment and get some Chic Fil afterward before we go to the mall."
Jay shook her head
"Lemme get my keys first," she said before heading out of the room.

A smile appeared on my face as I listened to the baby's heartbeat coming from the machine and watched the tiny outline of the baby on the monitor in front of me.
My body relaxed into the bed as the doctor rubbed the ultrasound gel around my belly which left a nice cool sensation.
"She looks perfectly healthy," the doctor said and my eyes widened.
"I'm having a girl" My jaw dropped and the doctor nodded her head.
"Omg! Jay, I'm having a girl" I looked over at her in the chair beside me. I was smiling from ear to ear.
"Can't wait to meet mini Aniyah. Soo cute" Jay smiled.
"Have you come up with any names yet?" the doctor asked and the smile disappeared from my face.
For a second I forgot I was giving the baby up for adoption, but I've always wanted a mini-me so I could do cute hairstyles on her and dress her up in cute outfits. Mommy and daughter outfit goals.
"Uh...no" I responded and bowed my head.
Zahara and Leilani are cute names.
"Why? You aren't planning on keeping the baby? the doctor asked with a concerned facial expression on her face.
