"You noticed that?"

Quietly, you sat next to your partner, whom was laughing with their friends, your head down, keeping to yourself as you not so gently picked at your nails. though you both had been dating for a while, you mainly kept to yourself, your partner doing most of the talking, even with their friends. 

as their friends distract themselves, a hand carefully pries your hands apart interlacing your fingers with their own, bringing your hand up to their lips, pressing a gentle kiss to it as they whisper "Love, stop being so anxious and self aware, you're amazing the way you are, they love you! (one of their friends) practically wants to marry you, cause 'y/n is so fricken cute!' " they say in a funny mocking tone.

Smiling up, still in a little shock, you whisper "You noticed that?"

Nodding, they kiss your hand again kissing the finger you had picked at mercilessly for the past hour. 

"Of course i did, it's you, and i looooveeeee youuuuuu" they say, in a cute lovey dovey tone, placing kisses along the crown of your head.
