Jimin is always so hard on himself...😔

It was the day.

September twentieth.

Where BTS was going to the United Nations yet again.

Jimin was the first to be a big ball of anxiety, then Yoongi and then Namjoon. Of course it relieved some stress that it didn't have to be in English, but it only opened hundreds of more gates for criticism.

On the flight there, Jimin's leg wouldn't stop bouncing. Taehyung watched him, and not once did it stop, not even for a few seconds of rest. He knew his muscle would tense up and hurt later, and it probably wouldn't help that they would be standing.

In which order, however, they didn't know. It's a game of who said 'hi' first. All they knew, was Namjoon needed to be in the middle.

Their speech was printed onto square cards so everyone had the same thing. All they had to do, was pay attention to each other's parts and change out their cards appropriately.

"Jimin, your leg is going to hurt later...calm down, it's gonna be fine." Taehyung spoke as he sat down next to Jimin on the plane, placing a hand on his thigh. "I can't, Tae, I'm freaking out." Jimin shook his head. "I can't just sit still- I mean, this is a big thing, and if I do something wrong-" "Jimin, calm down." Taehyung moved his hand up and put an arm around his shoulders. "We've done run-through's, and practices, and we've got it down. If you forget, we have cards, and there's no shame in forgetting. It's better than having to memorize it." Taehyung gave him a weak smile. "But-" "Jimin," Taehyung looked right into his eyes.

"You're going to be alright."

4 Hours Later

Taehyung walked up onto the platform with an usher from Namjoon, then Yoongi followed. Jin, Namjoon, Jungkook, Jimin, and lastly J-Hope walked onto the stage.

Once everyone got situated, Namjoon began.

Ten minutes in, it was Jimin's turn to speak.

"Yes, take a look at these pictures here. We have many trying hard to continue their friendships online in new ways."

J-Hope could see the shaking from beside him. Jimin was secretly terrified.

"Start learning new things live health-ier ways- I'm sorry, excuse me."

Jimin moved his cards and smiled in embarrassment, but he was panicking. J-Hope knew he was panicking- he was doing it before even walking into the building.

He probably forgot to switch the cards, because with the ones J-Hope had, the sentence he just said was the last line on the card, so he needed to switch immediately after. And, in result, he started repeating himself.

Lifting his microphone to start speaking again, Jimin took a deep breath and licked his lips.

"Yes, these kids are trying to learn new things and are trying to figure out new things. They don't look lost, they look like they are finding new courage and taking on new challenges."

Jin started to speak, and at that moment J-Hope saw Jimin release a quiet breath he was holding. He could almost hear Jimin's heartrate himself.

30 Minutes Later

"We did amazing-" "I need to use the bathroom." Jimin made a joke of it, but J-Hope knew he was going there to panic and cry.

"Me too, I'll come with you." J-Hope offered, holding Jimin's hand. He's never felt his hands sweat before until now. Namjoon looked around for a moment. "Go down that hall and I guess it should say 'bathroom' or something. You know- just be back within fifteen minutes." Namjoon told them. J-Hope nodded and he took off with Jimin.

"Hey, Jimin, don't cry." J-Hope let go of his hand and cupped Jimin's cheeks, the second they entered the bathroom. Jimin closed his eyes and started crying anyway, bring his hands to his chest to try and comfort himself. "Hey, Min, it wasn't that noticable, it could've been worse." J-Hope rubbed his cheek with his thumb. He decided to get more privacy and took his bandmate into the stall.

"It was a big thing and I f*cked it up!" Jimin cried out. "After all those practices, all those times I got it right, the real time I f*cked it up in front of all these big people, and the f*cking president of the-" "Jimin, stop being so hard on yourself." J-Hope cut him off. Tears rolled down his cheeks and onto J-Hope's hand, which he lovingly wiped with his thumb. "Everyone messes up-" "No one else did but me! Everyone was perfect, and it could've been so much better!" Jimin fell forward and hid his face in the elder's chest, sniffling and breaking down. His shoulders shook with every cry, and his eyebrows scrunched together as tears kept escaping his eyes.

"Jiminie, I know it feels like-" "You never f*cked up in front of important people of another country before! That speech was basically our whole career-!" "Jimin, we do not need America's approval to be successful in Korea! What they think doesn't matter, it's only what we and our managers think. Being here today was only to help us, and if they didn't like it, then f*ck them and their judgemental two-faced b*tches. It could've gone wrong even if we all did perfect. It's not your fault- I bet they're still going to support us in our-" "Yeah, because of Namjoon hyung! He always has to cover up our sh*t, and the one chance I had to lift a small weight I let it go and dropped it right on his head!" Jimin cut him off, sobbing as he backed up into the wall.

"Jimin, the whole relationship between our president of the country and America's country isn't going to change if we say 'f*ck you' to their faces. The whole world isn't going to go up in flames because of a music band, just like if Justin Beiber or someone came to Korea and said 'f*ck you' to us. Yeah we'll be pissed, but nobody's gonna die or lose their career over it. And all you did was accidentally repeat yourself, you didn't say anything bad, Jimin...it was a small mistake, and no one can hate you for it." J-Hope told him with a tone that said 'don't talk back to me'. Jimin shook his head, obviously wanting to say more, but he refrained from doing so.

"Come here." J-Hope sighed and opened his arms, and Jimin walked back to him and cried into his neck. "You're so goddamn hard on yourself, Min, it's almost frustrating, but I love you." He told him, kissing the top of his head gently.

About five minutes later Jimin calmed down, remembering their 'time limit' for their next 'meeting'. J-Hope got some toilet paper and wiped his tears, and they both splashed some water on their faces before heading back to the group.

"Took yall long enough." Yoongi joked, smiling. "We were struggling in international." J-Hope put an arm around Jimin and they all laughed, rubbing his shoulder.

And after that, on their flight back home, Jimin's leg was still as he listened to music.
