A.N. Sorry, the last chapter got cut off. I have no idea what happened.

Kiara's POV:

Everyone went fishing and Pope asked if we could talk and I agreed. We were on the beach and everyone was in the water.

"So you and JJ dated?" He asked starting the conversation

"Yeah, we did.."  I said looking at JJ in the water

"So why did you kiss me?" 

"I don't know. I was caught up in the moment and I loved you but like a brother. I just didn't know it at the time. I never meant to hurt you, Pope."

"I know that and I'm over it. I just want you to be careful."

"I will be, I know JJ pretty well.." I said kind of annoyed

"Kie, he told us a few things when you were with the girls.."

"What?"

"I shouldn't say.." He said turning to walk away

"Damn it, Pope! Just tell me."

"Okay, but you can't say a word to JJ. He basically just said you're acting like a kook bitch. He doesn't want to jump into a relationship with you because he hates how you treat him like a child, especially when it comes to his emotions."

"Really?" I asked not believing him

"Yeah, I'm sorry.." He said hugging me

He went over to the boys and I just sat by the fire. Sarah and Cleo came to sit next to me.

We ate the fish and then the sun was setting and Pope and John B were talking about what direction to head and how to get home. JJ came and sat next to me and I got up and walked down towards the water.

I sat down and the water just barely touched my feet when the tide rolled in. I didn't know what to think or what to do. We were stranded on this island. I wish I could tell my parents that I was okay. I missed them and I know that sounds crazy, but I do.

I didn't think it was fair to tell JJ that I missed my parents because he didn't have parents to come home to. John B lost both of his parents. Sarah literally didn't have a family anymore. Pope was the only one who would get it but we weren't really getting along at the moment.

The sun was starting to set and I had been here for about ten minutes when JJ came and sat next to me. He didn't say anything. He just sat there was watched the sun fall into the ocean.

After a few minutes of silence, JJ said, "You know you can tell me whatever you're thinking about."

"It's nothing.." I said lying and he knew

"Bullshit, Kie. I can handle whatever it is."

"I miss my parents... I know that's stupid and silly because all I did was fight with them. I just don't want them to worry about me. I want them to know that I'm okay."

He pulled me into a hug and said, "I get it, Kie. I wish I had parents that were worried about me. I promise you that I will make sure you get home safe."

"You can't promise that.." I said laughing

"We're going to get home, Kie. I know it and then we're going to have to get Pope's cross and John B's gold." He said leaning in to kiss me and I stopped him

"J, I'm sorry.. I just don't think this is the best idea. I don't know if I'm jumping back into this because we're the only ones who are single or if it's just being alone.."

"Nah, I get it. It's all good.." He said coldly

"Please don't be mad.." I said crying because I was super emotional

"What the hell did Pope say to you?" He asked 

"A bunch of lies. I even don't know. He's still in love with me even though I never loved him but he's macking Cleo."

"He's just insecure. Let him be and he'll get over it."

"I know. I just feel bad. I never should have kissed him.."

"Why'd you do it?" He asked looking at me

 I looked down and felt super guilty. 

"Because I wanted to get over you..." I said not looking at him

"How's that working out for you?" He asked laughing

"Freaking fantastic as you can clearly see.." I said wiping my tears

"Yo, lovebirds, get up here.." John B yelled urgently

We went up to the group and he said, "We swear we just saw someone in the woods."

"I thought I saw someone before too!" JJ pepped up

We all went in the direction that they saw the figure. We were running in the woods and there was a person in all dark clothes. It was a younger man. It wasn't Rafe or anyone we knew. He stopped and then we lost him.

"Who are you?" John B called out

There was no response. I suddenly got super lightheaded and dizzy. That was the last thing I remembered before I passed out and everything went black.

JJ's POV:

We were chasing the guy in the woods and all of a sudden I turned around and Kie was on the ground and she was unconscious. There was an arrow in her thigh. 

"Fuck!" I screamed

Everyone surrounded Kie. 

"There he goes!" Pope yelled

Cleo and John B ran after him and I picked Kie up bridal style and carried her back to our home base. I was all full of her blood and Sarah was crying the whole way back.

Pope ran ahead to get the first aid supplies we had. I laid her on the ground and Pope instructed us on what to do. He was going to pull the arrow out. I held Kie's hand and Pope did the medical shit with Sarah's help. I kissed Kie's forehead and said, "Come on, Kie... You have to wake up.."

"Now what?" I asked scared

"There's nothing else we can do." Pope said looking at me
