Kiara's POV:

We spent seven days on the island and it went by so fast. We packed everything back up on the HMS and pogue and headed back to John B's and got everything in my car. I brought JJ over and I did all our laundry and we went to the Wreck for dinner and then we spent the night at my house.

The next day, the rest of the group got home and we were all going to hang out on the HMS pogue.

"Kie, aren't you supposed to be in Spain still?" John B questioned

"I didn't go, I stayed and JJ and I spent the week together." I said as my eyes met JJ's

"Damn, I want details later.." Sarah joked looking at me

"Please don't ever mention that again." Pope said annoyed

"Don't act like you weren't alone with Cleo all week." JJ said annoyed

"At least I'm not macking my best friend's ex." Pope said drinking the rest of his beer

"I mean technically, you macked on my ex.." JJ said and I couldn't help but laugh

"Really, Kiara, really?" Pope asked missed at me

"Hey Pope.." JJ said to get his attention as he kissed me with tongue

He flipped Pope off right as our lips touched. JJ pulled away and Pope said, "Fuck you, JJ.."

"Get over it, Pope." I said so annoyed with his behavior

"I was over it, but I hate the way he rubs it in my face. Kiara, I was in love with you and you kissed me first.." Pope yelled

"Pope, chill out.. Are you not happy with me?" Cleo asked

"No, Cleo... I am in love with you. I just care about Kiara and I hate the way JJ treats her." Pope admitted

"Really? How do I treat her? I'd love to hear from you how I treat MY girlfriend.." JJ said getting in Pope's face

"You never take her out on dates. Kiara deserves to be shown off and taken on proper dates. You never do anything romantic for her. I take Cleo out once a week at a minimum. When we do go out, I pay for everything. I bring her little things every now and again sometimes it's flowers, chocolates, or a new knife."

"Enough Pope!" I screamed as JJ was ready to break

"John B, can you pull over at this dock?" I asked

"Sure thing!" He said

John B was pulling over and Sarah was annoyed with Pope too.

"Pope, shut up. You have your own relationship. Don't cause drama in a relationship you aren't part of." Sarah said as she rolled her eyes

The boat came to a stop and I grabbed JJ's arms and we were getting off the boat.

"Kiara, you don't have to leave. This is supposed to be a fun day." Pope said

"Pope, I'm ready to leave with them." Cleo said spinning her knife

"So am I.." Sarah said pulling Cleo over near her

"I'm with the girls on that one, sorry buddy." John B announced

"So then Pope leaves and the happy couple stays." Cleo said

Everyone agreed and we kicked Pope off the boat and JJ and I got back on the boat. Pope stormed off and John B said, "Come over once you've cooled off."

I sat next to JJ and he got up and grabbed a beer from the cooler. He didn't come back to me. A little part of me wishes we would have gotten off so I could talk to him alone.

I went and sat by Cleo and Sarah and Cleo said, "I'm so sorry for Pope's behavior."

"Don't apologize, it's not your fault. I just hope JJ is okay." I said worried about him

"Go talk to him." Sarah said encouraging me

"I want to, but I feel like I'm constantly telling him that I love him and none of those things are true. We just keep having the same fight over and over again. It literally breaks my heart when he doesn't think he's good enough for me." I said wiping the tears that were in my eyes

"Can I try to talk to him when we get back?" Sarah asked for my permission which I appreciated

"Of course.." I said giving her a small smile

"So what do you guys think I should do about Pope?" Cleo questioned

"I feel so guilty about how he acts towards me." I admitted

"Don't worry about it girl. Pope acts totally different around me. I know that sounds toxic but he told me he just knows JJ's behavior and doesn't want you to get hurt. When Pope gets something in his head, he can't get it out. Our relationship will be fine, don't worry about it Kiara." Cleo said giving me a small hug

We continued to talk about Pope and JJ and I watched John B and JJ talk. I'm sure they were talking about Pope and about me.

We spent another hour on the boat and it was getting cold, so we headed back and I got off the boat with Cleo and John B.

Sarah grabbed JJ and made him stay on the boat with her. We all went inside and I wondered what Sarah was saying to JJ.

They were out there for at least an hour but only Sarah came back inside.

"Where's JJ?" Cleo asked before I could get the words out

"We talked and then he took off on his bike. I'm sorry, Kie... You should have been the one to talk to him." Sarah apologized

"It's okay, but I should go. I don't want him to do anything stupid."

"Good luck, girl!" Cleo said

Pope walked in and I left. Sarah volunteered to drive me to JJ's.

"So how'd it go?" I asked once we were outside

"We talked about you the whole time. I've never seen a boy so in love before. Kiara, he loves you more than I could have ever imagined."

Sarah arrived at JJ's and dropped me off. I went to the front door and it was locked. The whole place was dark, I knew that meant he was gone.

Sarah came to the front door and she hugged me. She felt awful that JJ took off.

I got the spare key and we went inside and Sarah and I hung out on the couch. I had called and texted JJ and got nothing.

JJ's POV:

Sarah held me on the boat so we could talk. I ended up telling her about Kie and how much I loved her. We just talked about Kie the whole time. Sarah loved her as a best friend and I loved her as my boyfriend. We had Kie in common and it was nice to talk to someone.

After we talked, I realized I needed to go talk to Kiara's parents so I went to her house on my bike and I knocked on the door, which I immediately regretted. Her mom answered and her dad was right behind her. Shit. I couldn't back out now.
