When I woke up the next morning, Mattheo wasn't laying down by my side. I checked my phone, and it was 11:38.
"Damn it! I slept in," I whispered to myself. "Wow! I almost convinced myself that I actually cared."
I walked out of his room, and I immediately stepped into something wet. I quickly caught on that it was blood. It led into the bathroom. I walked over to the bathroom door. I opened it and saw a naked Mattheo. I turned around as he quickly wrapped a towel.
"Everything alright?" he asked.
I turned around, and the bathroom had blood all around.
"What happened?" I said. I wasn't very fazed by all the blood. I was oddly calm about the whole situation.
"I had to do it again," he said.
"Do what?" I knew the answer, but I had to ask.
"You know exactly what," he growled.
"Calm down. You're fine," I reassured him.
"I know I'm "fine". I've murdered thousands of times maybe even millions," he told me. "Probably shouldn't have said that."
"I didn't really care."
"You seem very calm about this."
"I've learned to just stop caring," I shrugged.
"How 'bout I get dressed, and we watch a movie?" he asked.
"Who said anything about getting dressed," I winked, and I won a smirk from him.
"Don't tempt me."
"Fine. What shall we watch, Romeo?"
"You pick, Juliet" he replied.
"How about, Hocus Pocus?"
"Never heard of it,"
"YOU'VE NEVER HEARD OF HOCUS POCUS!" I exclaimed. "Well, too bad! You're watching it because it's one of my favorites."
"I wouldn't want it any other way." And with that, we watched our movie. Once it was over, we decided to read a few more chapters of Romeo and Juliet, and that was how we spent most of our day. I ended up falling asleep in his lap, and he practically refused to move until I woke up. He ended up falling asleep too.
