Tyrone Mings- Meeting the family pt2

It had been roughly 4 days since you had met Tyrone parents and ever since then you and Ty have never felt so close, you both was still on cloud 9. It meant so much to you both them accepting you as part of their family because you and Tyrone had no plans of breaking up. His mother invited you both around to hers for Sunday dinner next week and when you asked if she minded if you tagged along she said 'Of course not honey I put on the message the whole family was gathering and your one of us now' it felt so good to be accepted. The only obstacle left was your family.

You had quite a big family and a very close one at that so you agreed it was a bit intimidating for everyone to have a sit down meal so you decided on going around to your parents and keeping it casual. Tyrone wouldn't admit this to you as he was the calm and collected one in the relationship but he was worried about the night because he had to win over them all but especially your dad and brothers who you previously warned was extremely protective. He knew the stereotypical reputation he had of been a footballer that added more pressure to him winning them over.

It was a Saturday afternoon at around 5 when you both was getting ready to leave

"Hey baby have you seen car keys" Tyrone said as he began stressing out

"No but have you checked in the bedroom"

"Yeah I have looked everywhere I can't find them"

"It's fine stop stressing babe I will help you look for them"

"How can I not stress y/n we need to be there in and hour its a 50 minute drive, your not ready and I can't find the keys" He snapped

"Okay well you can take your attitude somewhere else, oh look their there no need to have a strop" you said throwing him his keys

"I'm sorry for snapping at you, I'm just stressed tonight not going to go well" He said while you both was putting your shoes on

"It's fine I know you didn't mean it but honestly stop worrying it will be fine, I know your feeling anxious about my dad-"

"And your brothers" Tyrone added

"And my brothers, but we decided on doing this casual so their's no added pressure for you, its not like you will be surrounded by them all night."

"Yeah I guess your right and I got your dad his favourite whiskey so might increase my chances of him liking me." You laughed while shaking your head

-- Time skip to evening at your parents --

"So why do you think you're good enough for my sister" Your older brother said during dinner beginning to interrogate Tyrone with his accomplishes ( Dad and other brother)

"Erm- I have a lot of love and respect for y/n I think she amazing" Tyrone mumbled

You rested you hand on his thigh comforting him as you noticed he was fidgeting in his seat getting nervous

"He asked you why you're good enough for our sister not to complliment her" Your other brother spoke

You pulled a dirty look at all three of them as they promised they wouldn't interrogate him and go all protective but here they was doing just that

"I honestly don't know, your sister is amazing and I don't deserve her, how I have ended up with such an intelligent, kind, loving person I will never know but I promise to love her and protect her always. I know it will take a while for you to accept me but I won't harm y/n I do genuinely care about her."

"Bit cheesy mate but no we accept you just don't go hurting her I do actually like you would hate to have to break your legs or something and fact your a footballer helps" Your brother said causing you to playfully roll your eyes at his last statement

"Jake (other brother)" your mum asked

"Yeah I agree"

"Dad"

"Look as long as you prove to me I have nothing to worry about than yeah you get my blessing"

You smiled at them all and Ty had the biggest relief look causing your brothers to laugh

"We are not that scary mate, theirs a match on want to come to the cinema room"

"Yeah sounds good" Tyrone said while kissing you goodbye as him your brothers and dad left the table

"I like him, you can tell he loves you" Your mum added while your sister nodded her head in agreement

"Thanks" you said, heat creeping up on your face causing you to blush.

By the end of it you both couldn't off wished for it to go any better both families accepted you both and you was excited for your future together.
