They sat in the courtroom. Satori's lawyer just stood up to go have his first speech. Mitch already knew what the man was going to talk about, it wasn't their first rodeo.

The man stood between the judge and Mitch. "This is not the first fight mister Grassi and I are fighting. This is not the first time mister Satori is meeting Miss Marshall in a courtroom. And yet this is the first time in this whole charade that we have a man that was in prison for few years and came out with a boyfriend. In the meantime, mister Satori's wife has been slowly dying because Miss Marshall still denies the care Mistress Satori needs to slow down her disease. Today we're here to make sure that Miss Marshall learns that the patient's life is important and I need your help to do that." He said and went to sit back down in his chair.

Mitch stood up and took his place. "Let's begin as one should, good morning to everyone who's here. Second of all, let's get few things right. My client is a Doctor, she studied so that she could heal and cure what she could with anything legal and working. Please show respect when you're talking to or about her.

Being a man doesn't allow you to be disrespectful. Another thing, just because I was in prison, you don't get to say it as if I did something illegal. It's known that I am innocent and I was never truly guilty. Just because I fell head over heels for a man, you don't get to talk about it. It's my feelings, my relationship, and my life. If I had a girlfriend, you wouldn't even peep about it. If you want to win a case you need to start acting like a grownup and treat people with respect and kindness. You need to build your case, not attack the other side with who they are.

Now to your issue with my client. She didn't give or prescribe that substance to Mistress Satori because it's an illegal drug. I would know, the mother of my child tried to raise our child in that environment. This is Mister Satori's technically 4th attempt to hurt my client for following the law. He destroyed part of her car and got into a legal fight with her another 2 times. Not once has he been successful and that's because my client is doing nothing wrong. Mister Satori being hurt doesn't give anyone the right to hurt others, it's time to move on, it's been years." Mitch said feeling like he covered it all well enough.

He went to sit back down, looking at his boyfriend with a smile. Aaron asked for one free day to see Mitch fight in the courtroom. He wanted to see his boyfriend be fierce with words of the law

The judge called for the first witness, then another. By the time they were done, lunchtime came along, and the judge postponed the case for 3 days. Mitch, Aaron, and Lori went to the nearest coffee shop to get a large coffee and something to eat.

As they exited the coffee shop, Aaron turned to them. "I didn't want to discuss it right after we left the court, because we all needed a break. But what exactly was the other side's good point? I'm no lawyer, but they didn't seem like they were grasping the right straws. The jury didn't seem to like them, but I'm sure that we need something to prove to them that the incompetent side isn't right." He pointed out.

"I do have something to show, don't worry. I'm still working on finishing touches, but it's going to be a very good defense." Mitch smiled.

Lori looked at him surprised. "What exactly is it? Why didn't you run it by me?"

Mitch looked around and shook his head. "Not here. I don't want to risk someone hearing it. So either you have to wait for another court session or you have to go to our place so we can have privacy." As soon as he said it, his brain gave him a moment to think about what he said. He closed his eyes with a sigh. "If someone didn't catch the whole sentence they would be very confused by what I just said." He let out a chuckle.

Aaron nodded. "I dare to say that hearing your whole thing wouldn't help your case right about now. Puns intended." He smiled proudly.

Mitch smiled at him and motioned to the car. They drove to their house and as soon as their shoes were off, Lori started staring at Mitch to prompt him to give her answer. "To the living room. Be patient." He chuckled and went to the kitchen to get himself a cup of water.

Soon after him, Kimy walked in. "Why can't we make you an office, where you could meet your clients? Oh, wait, you already have one for that. So why did your client just come into the living room for case talk?" She got her hands on her hips and gave him a look.

"Because this is closer than my office and I prefer comfort over a place where I don't need anything." He smiled at her and went by her to the living room. He walked in, sat down, and looked at the rest of his today's team. "I found a link between Mister Satori, the officer that gave me that innocent kilo, and my ex-girlfriend. If it pans out, it's possible that he will even go to jail along with the cop." He said and took a sip of his water.

"What's the connection?" Reno asked and leaned closer to give him a signal to not leave anything out.

Mitch swallowed the sip. "Mister Satori was buying the illegal drug from Helen until she went to prison. When she did, she reached out to Mister Satori and asked for a favor for all the stuff she was giving him plus one more batch. The favor was simple - ask your cousin's niece to plant a package at a house of my choosing. Since the man is desperate to prolong his wife's suffering, he took it and that sent me to prison. Since I got out so easily and as a winner, both Satori and Helen are pissed so here they are again." He explained.

Lori looked at Aaron and then back at Mitch. "But how does that help our case?"

Mitch chuckled. "Mister Satori managed to get the drug in his own way, meaning you shouldn't be in that equation anymore and since they tried to get me too, I want to smile at them back." He shrugged.

"So we're going to risk the jury listening to us as we will use something as good in this case as them?" Lori asked.

Mitch shook his head. "No, because what they had was literally nothing in a plastic bag. There was literally nothing that would make you look bad. We will bite and show that they are the bad guys, without actually needing to prove much. Plus eventually, Satori and his family member will go down for what they tried to do. The jury hated them because of what the lawyer did, so if I just tell them, that it will be completely fine to shit on his face, they will gladly do it." Mitch smiled because he knew he was right. Aaron also nodded because he noticed the way the jury was looking at the other side.
