Mitch got to work as soon as he could, because he wanted things to be done as soon as possible, which was 10:07. He wanted to be home with his little girl, sister and nieces.

Now it's 2:45 and his work is halfway done. Usually he is much closer to the end of his shift, but he had good excuse he came late.

"Mitch?" his colleague knocked on his door. Mitch looked up and moved his stack of files on a side. "There you are," they chuckled, when Mitch started saving his falling stack he got it on the floor and into smaller towers.

"Yes, I am here. Is it break time already?" his colleague laughed.

"Break time ended almost two hours ago. What happened? You seem like you're drowning in those papers. Usually there's not this much on your table," Jarred said. "You're sleeping here with someone and now you are behind with everything."

"No, you stupid ass. I came later, because my sister went to doctor," they laughed again. They always joked about one another.

"Was it that boring and unsatisfying that you had to come later?" they laughed again.

"Yeah. Now back to what you needed, because this is going the very wrong way. What's going on?" they got all serious for a moment and then burst out laughing again. "We're like kids."

"That wouldn't be us," they both nodded and slowly calmed down. "Okay, now to the important. We've got another client and boss can't take anyone anymore. You are his assistant, so you have to take it."

"Why?" Mitch whined. "Everybody knows, I don't do cases on my own. The last one I did cost this company a lot of money and I nearly got fired. I can't lose my job, I'm single parent and I pay my sister for babysitting Kirstie," he started panicking.

"Hey, hey, hey. Deep breath. You will do great. If you need help, you can always come and ask me," Mitch gulped in fear. "Hey, take it the way, where Kirstie will be proud of you. You will get back your broken reputation and probably even bigger paycheck."

"I have no time, when it comes to these files and now you want me to make even more of them? You're crazy," Jarred laughed. "I have to be at home every day. I can't stay here over night few times a week."

"Genius, I will get to do your files, if you will have case to do," Mitch widened his eyes at his friend.

"I'm not adding up to your work, man. You already work 10 hours a day. Why can't you take that case?" Jarred laughed.

"Because boss told me to give it to you, now shush and get to work. I will take this tower of files and I will come for the rest later," Jarred left and soon after woman walked in.

"Mister Grassi, if I'm not mistaken," he looked up at her. She had brown hair and eyes. She could be 1.7 meter tall and she had glasses with thin frame.

"Yes," he walked over and motioned for her to sit down at one of the chairs. "So how can I help you, Miss...?"

"Lori Marshall," they shook their hands. "Gentleman, huh? Strong enough to let woman know, you're holding her hand, but light enough to not hurt her."

"Wouldn't dare of hurting anyone, especially not woman," he smiled.

"Are you connected to Kimberly Grassi in any way?" Lori asked, feeling like there was some resemblance between her patient and him.

"Yes, that's my sister. Why do you ask? Is everything okay?" the concern in his voice was raising with each letter he said.

"She's fine, I just see some resemblance between you two. I'm her doctor, just so you know," he relaxed, when he heard her first words.
