She was there before he got back. It took her much less time than any of them expected. When she got there, Kirstie with her cousins were asleep and Abby was in kitchen with her auntie. She got shy when doctor came.

"Is this Kirstie? No this little girl has different eyes. So who are you then, little girl?" Lori asked friendly towards girl hiding behind Kimy's legs. "Are you Kirstie's sister?" doctor's voice was gentle. She didn't want to scare her.

"She's Kirstie's twin. Abigail. But call her Abby," Kimy smiled and caressed Abby's cheek. Little bubble hid further behind her aunt. "She won't hurt you, she's my doctor and dad's client," Kimy smiled at smaller girl. Almost no reaction. She only nodded. Just like her cousins did.

"Let her be. I'm very new person. Maybe things will change if she will get to know me today. Maybe she will be fine, like her sister and fall sleep with your brother or like your girls and hide behind you and sleep there," adults chuckled. "Where's your brother?"

"In bathroom," Kimy winked, letting doctor know that he's not, but it wouldn't be good to answer honestly.

"Actually your brother is right here," Mitch chuckled and kissed his sister's cheek. "And my little bubble is shy, huh?" he picked his daughter up. She wrapped her arms around his neck. "So what now? Are you going to eat?" he looked at her.

"No," she whispered.

"And what would it take to get you to eat something?" he asked. "Book?" she shook her head. "Two books?" she shook her head. "Stubborn after your father, huh? Okay then. I will make you one toast and I will leave you with it," he chuckled, kissed her head tickled her tummy. She giggled silently and pushed his fingers away.

"I'm going to leave you three and look at our little devils," Kimy chuckled, stood up and left.

"Where was Abigail- sorry Abby when we first met? I don't remember meeting her," Lori asked.

Mitch sighed. "Back then I didn't know about her. She was with her mom. But many things changed."

"Oh. But she seems to feel good around you, so I'd guess those changes were good. I can only imagine what it feels like to be in her shoes - leaving her mom and meeting her father after such a long time," Lori smiled sadly at little girl, peeking over her father's shoulder.

"Yeah, but she's strong and took it as typical Grassi woman - well and make it a better change. I was in fear if she's going to like me and now she's my little bubble," he chuckled. She giggled silently and nuzzled to his neck. "You know, your patient is making fun of me. She keeps laughing that I should ask you out. Once I called you to arrange meeting and she laughed that I'm moving too fast and now I have no idea what to do with her humor slash not humor."

"Really? How long has she been bugging you with trying to date someone?" Lori asked with chuckle.

"Since Helen left me. She keeps saying that I'm going to be old and lonely. But I keep saying that in that case I will move in her apartment to bug her life then," he chuckled. "I understand what she wants to say, but I don't have time for all the things around it. I sacrificed my free time for this whole life I have and I love what I have. I wouldn't trade," he leaned his head against head of his daughter.

"You seem like father of every girl's dream," doctor said with audible smile.

Mitch chuckled. "I do my best. I give them what they deserve."

"Are you getting all your doubt slash sadness feelings?" Kimy asked as she came back. "What's up with that sleeping head on your shoulder?" she giggled.

"I'm making her breakfast, then she's going to eat. I don't care if she wants to eat or not, I will not let her starve. And no I'm not getting my doubts back. I'm just having conversation with your doctor. Don't worry, that stage is far behind me and I won't let it get back to me," Mitch smiled at his sister. He put one ready toast on little plate and moved it to his shoulder to let Abby smell it. Her eyes opened soon after and she ate it without single word.
