"Oh my god, yes!" I squealed, tackling him and pressing my lips to his
"Aaaaahhhhh!!" I heard Sarah screamed, and sunddenly Steele pulled back and started laughing
"Sarah you look like a tool!" He laughed. Glancing over my shoulder, I saw her doing some freaky dance on top of the lounge bench the three of us had been sitting on
"I don't care! This makes men happeh!" She screamed stupidly, dragging Kira and Lexi up to join her
"I love you." I grinned, missing him again
"I love me too." He smirked, popping his imaginary collar
"In that case I changed my mind." I teased, moving to stand up
"I'm kidding. I love you too, Ace." He laughed, gripping my wrist
"Fine. Then I suppose I could marry you." I continued, helping him stand
"Good. Cos I don't know what I'd do if you didn't." He grinned, hugging me
"No more you two! Mine now!" Sarah screamed, grabbing me and pulling me into a bone crushing hug
"Oh my god you're gonna get married, and have babies, and own a dog, the baby must be named Kira if its a girl!" Kira shouted as she and Lexi joined our hug. I could hear the boys laughing in the background
"If its a boy name it River!" Guess who yelled that?
"Okay, release! Our turn! Go hug Steele." Josh demanded, prying the girls off me before wrapping me in a hug and picking me up off the ground
"Congratulations!" He cheered, swinging me back and forth
"I'm happy for you, but I'm really doubting you're mental stability." River grinned, grabbing me from Josh
"Me too." I laughed, hugging him tightly before he sat me down
"Congrats." Luke smiled, looking unsure of whether or not I was still mad at him
"Fucker, hug me or I'll kill you." I told him, putting my hands on my hips. Laughing and shaking his head, he walked towards me and hugged me tightly
"I'm sorry I pissed you off." he muttered, resting his cheek on my head
"I'm sorry I hit you." I mumbled as he let go and stepped back
"What time is it?" I heard River ask
"Nearly 1:00 in the morning." Sarah told him
"We should probably all get home." Lexi muttered as Luke and I made the few steps over to the rest of the group
"We'll meet up tomorrow at the cafe?" Luke suggested, standing between Kira and I
"Sure, 11 o'clock tomorrow?" I offered, lacing my fingers with Steele's. Everyone agreed before getting into the trucks they'd picked up earlier
"You gonna stay at my place or here?" Steele asked as we paced over to his truck
"Yours, if that's okay." I smiled up at him
"If I didn't want you around I wouldn't have asked you to marry me." He laughed, helping me into his truck. His parents were moved into town, the farm was Steele's
"Wanna go to the pond?" He asked me, a wide grin on his face
"Of course!" I laughed as he pulled out of my driveway.

I wasn't staying with my parents, we'd gotten in an argument before I came home; I was supposed to be staying at Luke's house. But obviously, that wasn't happening, so I'd rented a hotel room
"Stupid bastard." I muttered angrily as I changed into a pair of shorts and a tank top before sliding into the bed "Hold on!" J yelled tiredly as a knock sounded on the door. I glanced through the peephole, seeing Luke
"Go. Away." I ordered monotonously
"Sarah, please, just listen to me." He begged, knocking again
"Like you listened to me?" I suggested sarcastically, sliding down the door, my back pressed against it
"Baby, I didn't know what to do! I was just so confused a-"
"You were confused!? What about me? I wake up puking sick for days before Chantel suggested a pregnancy test, and it comes up positive! I'm fucking terrified!" I yelled, throwing the door open
"I know, and you have every right to be scared, but I just wasn't expecting it right then! I was expecting hanging out with friends like we always do, and you telling Ace you weren't coming back to Olds with me! But I wasn't expecting to hear you were pregnant; especially not like that!" He exclaimed, stepping towards me
"I didn't know how to tell you!" I snapped, my voice cracking as tears started down my cheeks again
"I know, and now that I'm not upset, I understand why you told Ace first. And I know I did exactly what you knew I'd do, and I'm sorry. But I was a lot to take in." He muttered, looking at me sadly
"You walked away. You walked away, just like you always do." I sobbed, wiping my cheeks "and who's to say you won't do it again when I start getting fat, or when my hormones start, or when I'm fucking giving birth! You always, always walk away!" I shouted, more tears falling
"I promise you I won't." He muttered, walking towards me and hugging me tightly
"You've said that before." I reminded, crying into his chest
"But I always come back. And I always will...I swear." He sighed, rocking us back and forth while I calmed down
"If you ever walk away from me again I'm going to let Ace rip you to shreds." I hiccupped, stepping back slightly
"Okay. I love you." He chuckled, kissing my for head before dropping to his knees infront of me "And I promise I'll love you too." He grinned, kissing my stomach softly.

I hoped Sarah would never find out, but after she left, I called Luke and told her what hotel she was staying in
"You look guilty." Steele muttered from where he was leaning on the doorframe of his room, arms crossed
"I, uh, I kinda told Luke where Sarah was staying...." I confessed quietly, packing a sweatshirt into my backpack with the bottle of Jack I'd grabbed
"You'd better hope she doesn't find that out." He chuckled, walking over to where I was knelt on the floor
"That's what I was thinking about when you came in." I smiled, letting him pull me to my feet, his arms going around my waist
"Its hard to believe we're 18 and engaged." I grinned as we swayed back and forth
"Who cares? We don't have to get married for 8 years if that's how long you want to wait." Steele mumbled, kissing my cheek
"I won't make you wait that long." I teased as he took my hand and twirled me around
"Good, I don't think I'd have made it that long." He joked as he pulled me back against his chest
"You're the most impatient person I've ever met." I laughed as we danced around the room
"Bullshit! I took forever to ask you out, that took patience." He tried, looking down at me with a smile
"That was fear, not patience." I giggled, watching his eyes light up
"I suppose that's true." He laughed, dipping me back with a smile "but I balled up eventually." He added, kissing me quickly before pulling me back up
"Now, let's go before it gets too late." I laughed, grabbing my bag and running out of his room "hurry uo slow poke!" I laughed, hearing the sound of his footsteps right behind me
"Slowpoke, huh?" He whispered in my ear as he pulled me against his chest
"Mhm." I grinned, looking at him over my shoulder
"That's rude." He muttered, kissing my neck
"Get over it." I told him, biting my lip tightly
"Nope, but I'll stop for now. I'll just get my revenge later." He grinned, throwing me over his shoulder before carrying me out to where he parked the four wheeler.

Steele and I sat beside the fire we'd made, munching on Doritos and drinking the Jack and Coke I'd brought
"Why did you say yes when I first asked you out?" He asked suddenly, looking over at me
"Part of me wanted to because of how you'd helped me with David, and part if it was because you were the guy I'd liked since forever." I explained, tossing a Dorito in my mouth
"Good enough for me." He grinned, laying down so his head was in my lap. I ran my fingers through his hair, my nails dragging along his scalp
"Fall." I muttered, watching the water drop into the pond
"What?" He asked, lifting his head up to look at me
"Fall. Let's get married next fall." I elaborated, pushing his hair from his face. He was quiet for a second, staring up at me before he spoke
"Whatever you want." He grinned, pulling my face to his and kissing me softly. The rest of the time we spent by the pond, we talked about things we could do for the wedding.
