Chapter 10

The three began making cheesecakes and Stiles would occasionally eat some of the berries earning a smack on the hand by Rose.

After a couple of hours, the three began eating and Stiles moans loudly from the delicious taste that exploded in his mouth.

"Fireworks...just...kapow!" He says making Scott and Rose laugh.

"We should get going. We still have school tomorrow." Scott says and Stiles whines.

"Whaaat? I want more cheesecake."
"I can bring more tomorrow in school." Rose offers and Stiles cheers.

"Yes! Yes! You are a life savor. Thank you!" Stiles tells her making her giggle as Scott pushes him out the kitchen bidding their farewell. Rose saw the two bags at the corner and she immediately grabs the two plastic bags and followed them out the manor.

"Scott, Stiles." She calls and the they turn around to look at her.

"Here, you can share these with your parents." She smiles handing them two bags and Stiles immediately ran grabbing one as Scott walks and takes the other.

"Yes! More cheesecake! I will share them with my dad and eat the rest, thank you so so much." Stiles smiles and walks off like a kid getting a toy as a reward.

"Thanks, my mom would love this." He says and she smiles nodding her head happily.

"I hope she does. Well, see you." She waves as Scott says his goodbye and followed Stiles to his jeep and getting inside. Elijah comes out the house and stood next to her watching the Jeep leave as the two waved goodbye before disappearing down the road.

"Did you have fun?" Elijah asks turning to his niece who smiled and nodded.

"Yeah, I did." She answers and he smiles back before they both walk inside the house.

Scott makes it home and he thanked Stiles. A smile is kept on his face as he gets inside the house and shuts the front door locking it.

"Mom." Scott calls as he walks to the living room. He then saw a note on the fridge as he makes his way there and picks it up reading it.

Got called in from work. There's food in the fridge if you need it. Don't wait up.

Scott sighs as he opens the fridge and places the cheesecake inside and shuts it. He turns to the living room to get a pencil to write something, but he jumps when he notices Derek Hale.

"What the hell are you doing inside my house?!"
"I should be asking why are you inside the vampires mansion."
"Because I am friends with Ro-How do you know I'm with them?"
"I can smell the dead around you." He answers and Scott glares at him.

"I guess you know the new family that arrived in town then, and your friends with one of them."
"Yes, I'm friends with Rose. She's not a vampire."
"Uh-huh." Derek says already knows since she looks more alive and her heart is beating when they first met.

"I'm serious. She's human or...I think she is, but never mind that. How do you know they're vampires?"
"I encountered three of them when you were in the party. Two men broke one of the vampire's neck, probably knocking it unconscious and turned to me. I ran before they could even do anything. I followed them afterwards seeing if they're causing any killings in town. Earlier when I came to check on their movements again, that's when I met Rosalina, that young, beautiful, kind girl."
"YOU WERE STALKING THEM?!" Scott shouted angrily as his eyes changes and Derek rolls his eyes.

"I was making sure they aren't a threat. So far that I know, they aren't and they really have a big family." Derek tells Scott which doesn't calm the boy down one bit.

"These vampires are really old which I am guessing that you know considering you guys visited that place."
"And I'm surprise that they haven't caught you for stalking and killed you last minute."
"I was caught by the girl. She's kind and surprisingly wasn't afraid of me."
"Well yeah! Her dad is a fricking Hybrid and she's surrounded by vampires and witch. She's more protected then scared." Scott tells him as Derek just listens to the info his giving which Scott realizes.

"You're getting information out of me?!"
"You're just doing it involuntary. I'm just listening."
"You know what, get out of my house." Scott growls and Derek rolls his eyes and went to leave towards the front when he turns to look at Scott.

"They're still dangerous Scott. Even that little kind girlfriend of yours. They moved in this town for a reason." He says and leaves the house as Scott was still fuming. He then takes his phone out and went to call Rose, but stops. He soon calls Stiles and walks to the front door closing it and locking it before making his way upstairs.

"Hey what's up?" Stiles answers.

"Derek came into my house. His like...spying Rose and her family."
"What? You didn't tell anything to him right?"
"I might have accidentally did that, but that's not the point! Rose and Derek met earlier before we arrived the mansion."
"Should we tell her dad?"
"I-I think. I don't know." Scott says as he sat on his bed thinking.

Rose sketches in her book when she felt familiar eyes at her house. She stands up from her chair and opens her window looking outside. She scans the trees and notices the dark familiar figure in the distance.

She waves a hello towards the figure as the figure looks at her with confusion. She motions for him to come and Derek hesitated before making his way to the house. He climbs up the roof as she sits on the window.

"Creepy dude, watching my house again?"
"Just making sure your family isn't causing trouble."
"And what trouble would they cause?"
"Killing people."
"They only do that to protect those they love. Kinda like now, they'll kill you if they find out I'm talking to a random werewolf that has been stalking us for a while." Rose shrugs looking away from him not noticing an amused look Derek gave her.

"Are you just gonna stand there or sit?" Rose asks as she looks at him and Derek sighs a bit before sitting down on the roof and stares towards the forest of their back yard.

"You told me that you'll tell me anything earlier."
"Well, not anything that's related to my family and I'm pretty sure that you already know what my family is."
"They're vampires. Very old, strong vampires." He says and she nodded.

"Yep."
"They attacked that vampire and broke it's neck."
"What kind of vampire?"
"Don't know. He was wearing a black hood. The one in the suit said 'Niklaus, another has appeared' meaning you guys encountered these guys before." Derek tells her and turns to look seeing her worried face which got his curiosity.

"Oh...that's uh...weird." She says playing it off and Derek can see that she was hiding something, but didn't push it.

"Rose." They both heard and Derek immediately left the area as Rose looks towards Derek seeing him gone. The door opens and she turns to see Kol walking it.

"Uncle Kol, what's up?" Rose smiles.

"Just making sure you're okay dear." Kol smiles and Rose nodded her head.

"I'm fine just taking some fresh air in."
"Alright, get some rest."
"I will. Good night."
"Good night love." He smiles walking up to her and kissing her head before leaving the room and shutting the door behind him. Rose sighs and stands up shutting the window when a paper airplane flies in. She shuts the window and walks to the paper airplane and picks it up. She unfolded the airplane seeing a note.

Curiosity kills a cat, but that doesn't kill me. Hope to get to know you.
