Chapter 25

Isaac held Rose tightly in her arms while Stiles drove to her house.

"What the hell happened? There was this blinding light inside the school."
"We don't know. Rose just lifted her hands and then everything was too bright to see." Scott tells him as he turns to look at Rose and Isaac seeing Isaac holding her tightly and kissing her head while whispering that he is there for her making him angry, but kept his rage.

"We don't tell anyone about this. Not even her dad."
"What why?"
"You really want to know that answer?" Isaac glares and Stiles shut his mouth immediately. They soon arrived to her home as Isaac got out the car carefully to not injure her. He walked towards the front door followed by both Scott and Stiles making him stop and turn to glare at them.

"Will you two stop following us? It's going to be so suspicious." Isaac whispers angrily at them.

"We gotta make sure she's okay!"
"You don't even live here Scott!"
"Just cause you do, doesn't mean anything!" Scott growls as his eyes began to glow as did Isaac's.

"Hey guys, can we calm down please. I think-"
"Shut up Stiles!" The two shouted and Stiles held his hand up in defense and soon the door open.

"The bloody hell is all this ruckus?" They all heard and turned to see Rose's grandfather as Mikael looks at the unconscious Rose.

"The bloody hell happened? Why did you to come so late?"
"We went to study for our test and she fell asleep." Isaac says as Mikael walks up to him and carefully takes Rose into his arms.

"Hm. Go to bed." Mikael tells Isaac who nodded lowering his head as he walks inside the house.

"You two go home." Mikael then tells Scott and Stiles before walking off and closing the door behind him. Once Mikael placed Rose on her bed and tucks her in, he then leaves her room and shutting the door behind him before walking towards Isaac's room and opens it to see Isaac laying down, but he knew his awake.

"Wake up boy." He says and Isaac took a moment before getting up as Mikael turns on the lights.

"Now, what the bloody hell happened?"
"Nothing."
"Nothing? Screaming in the middle of the night is nothing?" Mikael crosses his arms as Isaac plays with his fingers.

"Just a petty fight."
"About?"
"Studies."
"Boy, don't lie to me."
"I already told you what you needed to know."
"Boys don't argue about studies, they either argue about war or a girl and I seem to think it's the latter."
"So? If it is what is it to you?"
"Don't give me that tone." He growls lowly and Isaac looked down at his hands.

"I-I'm sorry." He apologizes as his heart began to pound from his chest. Mikael closes his eyes and took a deep breath to calm himself before opening them again.

"Let me tell you this. Rosalina, is not an object and will never be an object of anyone's entertainment."
"I don't think Rose that way. I really like Rose."
"Yet it is not the same as loving her." Mikael says and Isaac looks up at Mikael.

"You should think before reacting. I reacted before towards my children without as much as using my head. Now...I am glad they never grew up like me." Mikael sighs before his face softening.

"I want you to be a man for Rosalina if something has happened to this family. I want you to keep her safe, boy. I want you to be a man." He tells Isaac who nodded his head.

"Get some rest." Mikael left the room and turning off the light as well as closing his door. Isaac laid down and sighs deeply thinking.

Rose woke up groaning softly when she hears a soft tapping on the window. She looks around seeing herself in her room before rubbing her eyes as she gets up to make it towards the window, but her body felt weak. She gets up slowly and made her way to the window and opened it as Derek gets in.

"You okay?" Derek ask seeing her weakened state.

"Y-Yeah. I'm fine." She tells him and looks at him seeing the wounds on him healing.

"What happened to you?"
"I fought it, but...it got to me first before I could kill him."
"At least you're okay." She whispers and tries to make it to her bed, but her legs almost gave out making Derek to grab her and carry her in his arms.

"I got you." He walks towards her bed and lay her back down before putting the blanket over her.

"Get some rest."
"What about you?" Rose ask, her voice was soft that any human can barely hear it.

"I'll..." Derek stops and thinks as he looks out towards the window then towards the door.

"I'm gonna stay for a while. Make sure that you're safe." He tells her and she slowly nods as Derek closes the window and blinds before grabbing a chair nearby and placed it near her bed as he sat down.

"Thank you." She mutters before passing out as her body went limp from exhaustion and Derek looks at her. He slowly reaches towards her hand and places his against her as he went to take her pain away. Grunting softly as he watches his veins turn slightly black before pulling his hand away. Rose's breathing went from heavy to almost normal in an instant. He stares at her with for a bit before looking away as he grabs a photo nearby and looked at the picture seeing all of her family as well as her as a child.

"What are you Rosalina Mikaelson? What are you hiding?" Derek ask as he glances back towards her then back at her picture as he places it nearby and sat guarding her.

The next day, Rose woke up again to see Derek passed asleep on the chair next to her with her puppy on his lap. She got up slowly and took her puppy from his lap, gently placing the puppy on her bed before getting out of bed and putting a blanket on Derek. Smiling as she checks the time seeing that it was 8 in the morning before walking out of her room to make breakfast.
