23. Fire.

Some time ago.

Jack and Alice was lying on her bed and looking at the moon.

Alice was doing small circles on Jack's chest with her finger.

''Prom is soon,'' Alice said suddenly.

Jack nodded, ''Yup.''

Alice looked at his face, ''You know what I want to do after prom?''

''Hmm?'' Jack looked at her.

Alice moved her body and sat on Jack's stomach.

''We have dated quite a long time now, right?'' Alice said.

''Uhh... Less than a week.'' Jack replied.

Alice pouted, ''I was thinking of taking our relationship to a new level.''

''Oh?'' Jack raised an eyebrow.

Alice nodded and moved her head closer to Jack's face, ''After prom... I think it is time to take our relationship to a completely new level.''

Her soft breath tickled Jack's face.

Jack nodded dumbly, ''I am listening.''

Alice smiled shyly and moved her head closer to his ear.

Her lips was almost in contact with his lips.

She started whispering about things which made her almost explode out of embarrassment.

Jack opened his mouth in shock.

Alice stopped whispering and looked at his face.

Jack bit his lip and nodded, ''O-Okay.''

''Yay!'' Alice said cheerfully and kissed his lips.

She lied down on the bed and moved her body closer to Jack's.

Jack closed his eyes and relaxed his body.

But then...

He opened his eyes with a slam— he quickly sat straight and looked outside the window.

''Jacky, what is it?'' Alice asked curiously.

But then her face became emotionless, and she saw a vision of a man with a flaming skull holding a shotgun while Bella and Charlie was lying on the ground without moving.

Jack stood up and ran towards the window.

*CRACK*

He jumped through the window, making broken glass pieces fly everywhere.

Edythe and Carlisle appeared in Alice's room after hearing the commotion.

They saw a broken window and Alice sitting emotionlessly.

They knew what this meant.

Everyone else gathered in the room shortly afterward.

Jack sat on his motorcycle, and flames was seen flickering in his eyes.

The motorcycle below him started slowly transforming, and the familiar-looking skull appeared in front of the bike, and the tires began smoking.

*VROOM*

Only a blazing trail was seen after Jack left with his motorcycle.

''Alice, what is it?'' Edythe asked anxiously.

Alice finally woke up from her stupor— she stood up in a hurry and shouted, ''Bella and Charlie are in danger!''

Edward widened his eyes— he instantly left the building through the window and started running in the forest towards Bella's house.
