Chapter 28: Come Undone / I'm yours

I was unraveling! Felix wouldn't talk to me, Nate was distant and weird. I din't know that to do! I mean, I knew I had to face the music. But it sure as hell wasn't gonna be easy.

After I got home from school, I waited so I would get my parents alone for a moment in the evening and went to talk to them. I knock at the Alpha's bedroom door.

"Mom, dad, can I talk to you for a moment?" - I started as I enter their room. They were just resting a bit.

"Yes, of course, cariño. What is it?" - Mom replied. Dad just looked at me, expectantly.

"I don't know how to start, really!" - I croaked.

"Start from the beginning, son." - Dad replied. I wanted to laugh at that but I was too worried.

"My mate is a human!" - I blurted. My parents were shocked, but composed.

"Is that why you didn't want to tell us?" - Mom asked as she caressed me. - "Because she's human?"

"No, it wasn't!" - I replied, worriedly.

It's worth noting that our pack NEVER had a human Luna. Ever in its more than 100 years!

However, I knew that wasn't a deal breaker. It's a little problematic, sure. But it's not exactly a scandal in today's time. At least, not like the one I was about to drop on my parents.

"There's more?!" - Dad asked. Now, he looked scared.

"Yes, there is." - I said and begin crying.

"Oh, cariño. No llores!" - Mom said as she held me close.

"I'm sorry, dad! There's nothing I can do! I tried so hard not to disappoint you!" - I sated, sobbing. I was deeply distraught. This was incredibly difficult for me!

"You never disappointed me, son. And I don't think you ever will!" - Dad reassured me. He looked concerned. Mom too.

"I tried to fight it! I did, I swear! But I can't anymore! Please forgive-me!" - I spoke as I continued crying.

"Qué está pasando, cariño, nos está asustando!" - Mom exclaimed. She looked at me so worriedly.

"I can't hold it in anymore, I'm so sorry!" - I unraveled. - "My mate is a boy, I'm sorry! There's nothing I can do!" - As I said it, I fell to my mom's lap. I couldn't breath I was crying so hard.

Mom tried to console me but dad was silent.

"Era solo eso? Esto no es nada!" - Mom comforted me.

"Dad, say something!" - I pleaded, I got back to my sitting position and I watched him for a reaction.

"We'll see, son!" - It's all he could muster and I cried even more. I could feel his disappointment. And it was killing me inside! I stayed with my mom crying for at least half hour.

After I left my parents bedroom, I stopped by at Nate's.

"Can I come in?" - I asked him carefully, as I opened his door. I knocked first.

"You never asked to come in before! What's wrong?" - He replied, worriedly.

"I didn't know if I was even allowed anymore! You're so strange these days!" - I replied, honestly.

"I know! I'm sorry, Dan! I think I had a chemical imbalance or something! Even I wasn't recognizing myself!" - He admitted.

I entered and sat at his bed.

"I've told them!" - I admitted to Nate.

"Told them what?" - He replied, not understanding.

"I told my parents my mate is a boy!" - I said and tears start falling down my face.
