The ambience was tense, giving her an uneasy feeling. Blood was still dripping down her shoulder to her arm, and the man noticed.

He tilted his head to the side, giving her an eerie smile.

"What do you want?" She asked, breaking the silence.

The man was dressed in a formal attire, a grey suit with dark blue shirt underneath. "Oh I'm sure you know."

She couldn't help but to feel threatened by his presence. He was after all, the Underboss of Neo Mortem Mafia.

"Is it," she took a few steps back. "Mark?"

The man snapped her fingers, pointing his index finger at her. "Jackpot. You're sharp-witted, good,"

"I'm sure you're aware that the 7th district belongs to the mafia, so whatever happens here are all under my control." Taeyong said.

"Your point is?"

"I can kill you anytime I want," he spoke, making the girl fell into dead silence. He chuckled at her reaction. "I'm kidding,"

Dasom started to feel dizzy, the wound on her shoulder was making her lose a lot of blood.

"Since you're his new partner, make sure he succeed in his mission. Chevalier won't spare his life again if he failed this time, especially because he ran away to England before."

"You were the one who made him fail last time and now it's my responsibility to clean up the mess you made?" She asked coldly.

Taeyong chuckled indignantly. "I can't say you're wrong, but he chose you to be his partner, I can't do anything about that. I'm aware that my brother and I aren't in good terms, but I'm still his brother. It's still my responsibility to look out for him, isn't it?"

"You know who the target is, do you?"

"Of course I do. But I can't tell you nor I can tell Mark, you won't do it if I tell you."

Dasom took a few seconds to comprehend what he meant, not wanting to say anything she'll regret later on.

"So, what do you want me to do?"

Dasom walked into the lounge in silence, her thoughts filled with the previous encounter. She was supposed to go to physics class, but she needed to treat her shoulder first.

She entered the lounge, seeing nobody but her there. The rest must've gone to their classes already.

She headed towards the infirmary located in their lounge, searching for some cotton swabs and alcohol to clean her wound. Her consciousness began to fade slowly, her vision getting blurrier. She was so invested in what she was doing she failed to notice the man behind her.

"You do know you need to take out the bullet first, right?"

Startled by the voice, she dropped the cotton swabs. "Fucking hell, don't scare me like that, Mark Lee."

Mark stayed quiet, glancing towards her shoulder. "Sit back, I'll take out the bullet,"

He took out all the equipment he needed, taking a chair to sit in front of her. He took a closer look at her wound and fortunately for her, the bullet didn't hit any crucial part.

"I'm taking it out." He informed beforehand.

She gulped, her breath hitching as she felt a sudden sharp pain as he pulled the small metal piece out of her muscles. She cursed under her breath, watching him clean her wound.

He then took the needle and the thread, stitching the open wound. It fascinated her how he can easily do all these things.

"You look like a professional." She pointed out.

"Oh please," he snickered. "That's because I'm used to this."

After finishing with the stitches, he then wrapped the wound with the bandage, sealing everything up. Dasom's lips curved into a light smile, thankful that he's always there to help her.

"I uh," she cleared her throat, gaining his attention. "Thanks."

"Of course."

The longer the two kept their eye contact, the more she felt the weird feeling bubbling inside her. This unfamiliar yet familiar warmth.

Mark Lee has eyes that could easily make people fall for him. It held so much more than just the entire universe, but its beauty can not be defined by words. His smile, in spite of the fact that he was actually playful, it had a sense of comfort yet coldness in it.

Mark then broke the eye contact as he stood up to clean up the equipments, putting it all back into place.

Dasom's lips curved into a playful grin as he watched his every move. "You know, I wish we have something between us."

Mark cocked one of his eyebrows. "Me too,"

The girl was taken aback by his answer, staring at him with a puzzled look as he walked back to her. He leaned his face closer to get to her level, their face only a few inches apart.

"A wall,"

He threw her a smirk, ruffling her hair before going back to put the alcohol back on its place. Dasom snickered at his respond, trying to contain the urge to smile.

"Come on now, you have a class right?"

"Yeah, just go first I'll go to mine in a few,"

Mark nodded his head, leaving her in the infirmary room. As soon as he left, she couldn't help but to think of what just happened earlier.

Beaming to herself, she let out a small chuckle. "What an idiot."

She couldn't describe what she was feeling, but one thing's for sure was that she was starstruck.
