Your New life with Darkness

Non-Relaxing day

You wake up feeling lonely this morning. You look to your side and see darkness isn't there beside you. Where could she have gone this early in the morning?

You get up and put on your casual clothes and still no signs of darkness, its like she isn't even in the house.

Y/n: Darkness? You there? (You knock on the bathroom door)

No answer. You walk out and to the kitchen to see Kazuma and Megumin having breakfast.

Y/n: Have you seen darkness?

Kazuma: Nope, I thought she was with you. Weren't you cuddling with her last night?

Megumin: Yeah he's right, we didn't see her step out of your bedroom.

Y/n: That's strange... I'll go check outside.

Kazuma and Megumin: Alright then.

You step out of the mansion and look over at the field where you were training the other day. She wasn't there either, your last choice was to go into town, but your stomach changed up the plans to make room for breakfast.

After finishing up your omelette you head out in search of Darkness. The most common places you would think of seeing her are either in the blacksmith's shop or the guild. Maybe she wanted to take on a mission all by herself.

You walk into the blacksmith and directly to the owner to seek for information.

Y/n: Good day sir, have you seen a young lady, a little shorter than me, with blonde hair?

Blacksmith: No son, not today. You're looking for lady Darkness by any chance?

Y/n: Yes! That's exactly who I'm talking about!

Blacksmith: I haven't seen her since she picked up the commission you paid off for her.

Y/n: O-Oh, alright then. Thanks for your time.

You walk out and to the only place you can think of to find Darkness. As you step into the guild you look around to see any blonde figure around.

No luck with your quick search. The last thing you can do is wait for her to come back. It still bothers you, where could she have gone?

Your lonely walk back to the mansion feels so wrong, usually darkness would be there by your side.

Kazuma: Any luck finding her?

Y/n: Nope, not a single stroke of luck (You collapse onto the couch)

Kazuma: It's not like her to disappear without telling us, she probably won't take long.

Y/n: [I hope] Yeah, probably.

You lay alone on the bed, awaiting her arrival. You're still confused on how she disappeared, maybe she managed to find a mission and went on to do it.

She's the person you most care about in this world, your heart aches not knowing where she went. Your mind thinks of all the bad things that could have happened to her, everything from a failed mission resolving in her demise, to an accident that got her taken away.

You hear Kazuma's voice from the other room.

Kazuma: Y/n! Darkness is back!

You get up and as you try to run out you see darkness standing at the door.

Darkness: What's up? Did you miss me-?

You cut her off and hug her tight as you pull her into the room, closing the door behind.

Y/n: Where were you?! Where did you go?! Why didn't you tell me?!

Darkness: S-squeezing too hard!

You loosen your grip to allow her to breathe speak.

Darkness: I went out with Aqua to buy some things for dinner, didn't you read the note I left you?

Y/n: A note?

Darkness: Y-yes, I left you a note on the bed. I didn't want to wake you up so I thought that was the best solution.

You walk to the bed and shake the sheets. The note flies off the bed and onto the floor.

Y/n: O-oh, I didn't notice that...

Darkness: What did you do while I was gone?

Y/n: Searched the entire town for you, I was roaming around looking in places I thought you might be in.

Darkness: No wonder you didn't find me, we went to a local farmers market out of town. He sells thinks at much cheaper prices than here in town.

You hold her hands and kiss her, that's something you missed the whole day.

Y/n: Next time wake me up, alright?

She nods and kisses you back. Your little make out session lasts a few minutes before you hear someone knocking on the door.

Kazuma: Hey you two, dinner is almost ready, just in case you're hungry.

Y/n: Alright, we'll be there in a few minutes.

After taking a warm bath together, you both went down to the kitchen to see whats for dinner. It looks like they prepared some fried meat with veggies. It seems everyone had eaten already and headed off to their business.

You and darkness sat down to enjoy todays meal together and alone, something you wanted the whole day.

Y/n: Dude you do anything other than visit the Mark today?

Darkness: No not really, we just spent the time there looking for the best prices on different fruits and vegetables.

Y/n: Did you manage to get a strategy on which farmers to buy from?

Darkness: Yes, we did manage to get the cheapest prices covered, and we didn't even spend the amount we calculated.

Y/n: That's wonderful, what kinds of fruits did you get?

Darkness: Just the common ones, those that are sweet and juicy.

You both get up and walk to the counter and set your dishes. Making your way to your bedroom you hear sounds of pain coming form within the walls.

Y/n: D-do you hear that? Someone needs help!

You intend to storm off to find who is the soul in danger when darkness grabs your hand.

There is no person that needs help y/n, that's just Kazuma and Megumin.

Y/n: K-kazuma and Megumin? What do you mean?

Darkness: T-they:re doing what we do, just louder.

Y/n: [I knew something was up with them]
