The doorbell rang again and Ahil went to open it this time. He hugged Hadeed and gave salam to Yumna. He led them inside.

"OOOO." Hoor wriggled her eyebrows at Yumna, laughing who only glared at her. She was hell bent on making her feel embarrassed everywhere, knowing she was very shy.

"Drive kesi rahi?" Hoor whispered in her ear and she turned her face to other side so she can't see her turning tomato. She would tease her alot.
(How was the drive?)

"Don't call me Sir." Ahil and Ayaan said at the time, when Hadeed and Yumna called them Sir,gaining laughter from everyone.
"It's a family gathering, not a professional one. Don't treat us like colleagues."
"Jee bhai."
(Yes brother.)

Yumna felt a little weird calling Ahil bhai but she did, while Hoor choked on her water, gaining everyone's attention. Yumna slapped her back, taking revenge for every time she had made her embarrassed.
Hoor held her hand before she could do it again.

"Tum rehne do, Main theek hun." She glared at Yumna and took deep breaths.
(You leave it. I am fine.)

"Are you okay Ms. Hoor?"
"Yes sir."
She said loudly, gaining chuckles from everyone while Ahil shook his head, smiling. The exchange was noticed deeply by two pairs of eyes, Shazia and Wania, who was aware of her mother's interest in Hoor as Ahil's bride.
I can't call him bhai. No never.
Hoor imagined herself calling him bhai and visibly cringed at it.
"Sir na bolo, bhai bolo." Yumna said out loud. Now it was her time.
(Don't call him Sir, call him brother.)

"Koi baat nai, Sir hi bol lo kher hai. Aesa bhi kia hogya."
(It's ok. Call him sir that's fine.)
Shazia intervened, she couldn't see Hoor calling Ahil as brother.
Ahil, on the other hand, was a little relieved at his mother's comment. Yumna was his brother like friend's wife, so it was easy to hear bhai from her as he saw her as his bhabhi (sister in law) but hearing bhai from Hoor's mouth? It was a no. Big no.
The doorbell rang again, making Hassan huff and he went to open the door, he knew it was his dad. His dad came inside, met everyone.
"Aaap yakeenan Hoor hain beta?" He asked Hoor, who nodded, confused.
(You are Hoor I guess?)

"Apki aunty apki bht batain krti hain, islye shoq tha milne ka."
( Your aunty talks a lot about you. I was really curious to meet you.)
Hoor sheepishly smiled, Ahil was rolling his eyes internally all the time Hoor was talking to his parents.
—-----------------------------
It was 9 pm and dinner was done and now everyone was sitting in the lounge again, talking and gossiping.
"Ammi aap medicine le kar sojayen, time hogya hai, warna routine disturb ho jayegi apki." Ahil's mother nodded and stood up to leave, after meeting and saying goodbye to everyone.
(Ammi you take medicines & sleep. It's time. You'll disturb your routine otherwise.)

Raima was sitting beside Hoor, Wania and Yumna when she got a notification from her friend, asking about the assignment. It was already 9 and the assignment was due by 12 and she had forgotten about it.
She looked around, everyone was busy.
"Maryam, let's go home." Raima asked her who was happily playing and laughing around. The kids were all on the floor, Meerub was also awake by now.
Everyone looked towards her and she thought of an excuse.

"Kafi lait hgya hai, I guess I should go."
(Its very late....)
"Thori der aur ruk jayen, let the kids play."
(Stay a little more...)
Raima nodded at Hassan's reply and sat down. Only a few seconds later, she stood up and went towards the lawn, while everyone was talking.

"If I leave by 10 pm, I won't be able to submit by 12 a.m." She had called her friend, asking for her opinion and information about the assignment. She talked for a few minutes and then went back to the lounge.
"Wania api." She whispered in Wania's ear who turned to her side, raising an eyebrow.
"I need laptop, I have to submit an assignment I completely forgot about. It's important and urgent. I didn't bring my laptop with me." She mumbled and Wania chuckled. It reminded her of her university days.
"Mera laptop to dead hoga, I don't get time to use it because of these three kids, and it must be somewhere deep into my cupboard. I can give you Hassan's laptop though."
(My laptop will be dead...)
