Part-32

"Sir apne bulaya?" Yumna entered Ahil's cabin and he was discussing reports with a patient so she stood aside because he nodded his head and directed her to. After 5 minutes the patient left.
(Sir did you call me?)

"Jee Dr. Yumna, Aap Ki dost ne lunch kia?"
Yumna opened her mouth but closed it, contemplating.
(Yes Dr. Yumna, did your friend eat lunch?)

"Maine kuch pucha hai, Dr. Yumna." He repeated his words, more serious this time.
(I asked something, Dr Yumna.)

"Sir she bought it but–"
"Yes. Or. No." He emphasised on each word and she nodded in no. The door knocked and Hadeed entered. He looked at Yumna and then back at sir. He had a file in his hands.
"I am sorry, sir." Yumna said. She didn't turn to see at the door and was looking down. Hadeed went ahead and gave a file to Ahil.
"Sir, this file contains all the transactions of the past month from the Hospital's main bank account." Ahil nodded.

"It's okay, Dr. Yumna." Ahil said, opening the file. He looked up and saw both of them standing, Yumna looking down while Hadeed towards him. A small smile appeared on his lips looking at the two.
"MashAllah, you guys look really good together." Yumna mumbled thanks shyly.
"Meray sath kon acha nahi lagta, Sir." Hadeed passed a hand through his hair, making Yumna frown.
(Who doesn't look good with me, Sir?)

" Bhabhi, mera lihaz krne ki zururat nai hai, aap isay suna sakti hain." He hid his smile by biting his lips.
(Bhabhi, you don't need to control yourself because of me, you can scold him here.)

"Thankyou Ahil bhai." She said and then turned to glare at him.
"Aur aap, aap chup kren. Apke sath sirf main achi lagti hun, baqi koi bhi nahi lagta, koi bhi suit ni krta. Suna aap ne?' She angrily said and then turned to Ahil.
(And you, you stay quiet. Only I look good with you, no one else does, no one suits you. Did you listen?)

"Sir me jaun?"
(Sir can I go?)

"Sure. Thanks for letting me know."
"Umm Ahil bhai , ek bat kahu?"
(Umm Ahil bhai, should I say one thing?)

"Jee."
(Yes.)

"Uspe ghussa na kijiyega aaj, tabyat nahi theek lagri mjhy uski..." Ahil looked up at them and sighed.
( Don't be angry at her today, she doesn't seem well to me.)

"Apki dost ki harkatain hi aesi hain bhabhi. I'll try." Yumna smiled and turned to leave the office but not before glaring at Hadeed who smiled at her, increasing her frown.
(Your friend does such deeds bhabhi. I'll try.)

Hadeed looked back at Ahil after she'd left and sat in front of him, to give him the details and everything. His heart was at peace after teasing her.

7 p.m. She looked at the clock once again but it was not 9 p.m. yet. She looked towards the patient and focused back on her work. After about one hour, she was free for some time and at the same time the door opened and someone entered.

"Kon hai—" She looked up to say something to the person who entered without knocking because she knew there were no patients for her now. Her scowl deepended seeing him.
(Who's there—)

'Why can't he leave me alone? I have no energy to fight.'

"Kia main puch sakta hun lunch kiun nahi kia tha." He went ahead and sat on the chair.
(Can I ask why did you not have lunch?)

"Nahi." She averted her eyes.
(No.)

"Tum itni ziddi kiun ho? Subha se kch nahi khaya aur—" He glared at her.
(Why are you so stubborn? You haven't eaten something since morning and—)

"Han nahi khaya likin apka kaam to hogya na? Kia kisi patient ko check nahi kia? Kia apke bar bar bulane pe apke office ane se mana krdya? Ya apko files printout karke nahi dee? Ya phr apko briefing nahi dee? Jab apka kaam theek se karrahi hun toh jiun ya marun apka masla nahi hai." She snapped at him and then took deep breaths because she didn't have energy to say it out loud but she did.
