y/n's hand trembled while she covered her mouth in shock. It wasn't the fact that she was dead that shocked her, it was mostly the fact that the person who terrorised her her entire life could be killed this easily. After all she'd done to y/n, she appeared invincible, like some sort of omnipotent punisher. y/n doesn't admit it often but she was terrified of the woman. Of what she could do. Because she'd witnessed the director's wrath before. Many times. It wasn't pretty at all, and it terrified her enough to oblige to anything the woman made her do.

But now... She was gone.. So easily too. And the cause of y/n's pain and suffering died with her. The winged girl was now at the mercy of her torturer's killers. "Now y/n. Welcome to the league. Your remarkable abilities will definitely be of use to our cause..." Shigaraki complimented, stepping closer to y/n. y/n couldn't back away anymore, Dabi was standing right behind her. The room had no windows and the only door was covered by Mr. Compress so there was no other escape either. She was royally screwed.

"I am glad that you decided to join us in the end. But unfortunately I cannot afford another situation like the one with your brother. So I will have to take some precautions.." He tilted his head, a sad smile on his torn lips. y/n's eyes shifted to his gloved hand, there he held the device that would make her his to command. "Shigaraki..." She muttered, her voice breaking slightly. She didn't want to do this again. To be completely at someone's mercy. y/n looked at the league desperately, but it appeared that they were also unaware of Shigaraki's little plan.

Dabi, who had once promised her freedom, gave her an apologetic glance. He didn't feel bad for many people, but that kid grew on him. Spinner's eyes were wide open and he was just as shocked as y/n while a few tears slid down Toga's face. Mr. Compress had a sympathetic look on his face under his mask. They couldn't do anything to defy their boss, even if it meant letting their newest 'member' suffer the same fate she did under the people they were trying to take down.

y/n closed her eyes, she couldn't bear to watch him click the button. When she passed out after Shigaraki clicked it, Dabi caught her and placed her gently on the ground. "Boss, she's already on our side, why would you.." "I can't take risks Shuichi. We all saw what happened with the other Takami. Do you really want to lose another person?" That shut Spinner up, and he looked away from Shigaraki. "Dabi. Prepare for the back up mission if Nagant fails. Take her with you." Dabi nodded, he slumped y/n over his shoulder and walked out.

"The rest of you, get to work."

ONE DAY AFTER THE DEKU VS. NAGANT FIGHT

After his fight with class 1-A when they rescued him from Dictator, an assassin sent to kill him after Nagant failed, Midoriya had finally accepted the help of his friends instead of working alone to find Shigaraki. y/n on the other hand, had gotten some adjustments to her quirk by Shigaraki, and was now preparing and arming herself to prepare herself as the next line of attack.

It was silent in the room where she armed herself, Dabi would occasionally throw glances at her, feeling uneasy about her state of being. It was quite disturbing, the fact that she was a human puppet who had no say in what she was doing.

"Y'know, I liked you more when you were snarky. You were more fun." He commented, but y/n remained silent, making him purse his lips. He pitied her in some sick way, all she wanted was to help people and be free, and all she got was false hope. "Come on." Dabi muttered, grabbing her forearm harshly and dragging her along. They had gotten information about Midoriya's current location, which unbeknownst to them was a trap set by the heroes who were alerted about an assassin being sent his way.

For Dabi, this would be another mission. For y/n, this would be the hardest mission of her life.
