Chapter 9

Shawn held my hand tight. "So uh Maddie." He said his voice cracking. "You gotta wake up. Please." He took a deep breath. "I finished the song i wrote for you. I can play it if you'd like." I heard him snicker and he let go of my hand.

"I brought my guitar so here goes nothing I guess.

She would not show that she was afraid

But being and feeling alone was too much to face.

Though everyone said that she was so strong.

What they didn't know was that she could barley carry on.

But she knew that she would be okay,

So she didn't let it get in her way.

Sometimes it all gets a little too much, but you gotta realize that soon the fog will clear up

She use no help it would be just fine

But when it got hard she would lose her focus.

I could tell he was smiling at the end. I just wanted to get up and hug him as tight as I could.

"I uh hoped you like it." He was silent for a few seconds. "Man what is wrong with me. I bet you didn't even hear any of that."

Okay I have to try and move. Come on just one finger. I tried so hard to move my hand. It hurt my head to try.

After about two minuets I was able to move my pinky. I could tell Shawn was holding his breath. okay I have to try and move my hand.

"Maddie!?" I was able to move my hand a bit. My head was pounding from trying to focus.

Now time to open my eyes. "MADDIE!" My eyes fluttered open and I winced at the light.

"Oh my god Maddie, i missed you so much." Shawn said pulling me into a hug.

The doctor came in a second latter. "And how are we feeling?" he asked me. "My head hurts a lot." I said putting my hand to my head.

"We're keeping you for one more night to keep and eye on you. Than you may go home tomorrow afternoon." The doctor said walking into the room and flipping threw some papers.
