"If you're trying out for The Bad Seed, you need to sign up here and wait by the auditorium door until your name is called. Thank you and good luck." Ezra said.

"Start with the line about the stolen medal." Spencer said.

"Why isn't she wearing any shoes?" Hanna asked.

"So, she can look short enough to play an eight year old." Spencer said.

"Sucks for her that I'm gonna get the role." Katherine said.

"What's my line?" Spencer asked.

"I don't see anything about a medal." Emily said, looking over the script.

"That's what the eight year old killed her classmate for. The Penmanship Medal. That's why they call her the Bad Seed." Spencer said, leaning over to look at the script.

"Penmanship medal, really?" Hanna said.

"Didn't you read the whole play?" Spencer asked.

"Spence and I went over it like six times." Katherine said.

"Don't look at me. Hanna's the one trying out. I'm just here to make her look taller." Aria said, as Spencer looked between Aria and Hanna.

"Why do I have to read the whole play?" Hanna asked. "I don't wanna be the bad seed's mother. I wanna be the other mother, the one who's drunk all the time."

"No comment." Spencer said, as Aria and Katherine laughed.

"Are you still ragging on me for bringing a flask to a dance? I don't need another parent, Spence. One's plenty." Hanna said.

"Hey, at least Hanna wasn't the one who showed up to a hospital drunk." Emily said.

"Okay, in my defense, I didn't know that I'd be going to the hospital." Katherine said.

"Has the one figured out that Caleb's in her basement?" Aria asked Hanna.

"No, but A has." Hanna said.

"What are you gonna do?" Emily asked.

"I'm so sick of this bitch." Katherine said.

"I'm gonna tell my mom before A gets to her." Hanna said.

"Yikes, good luck." Katherine said.

"I'm just gonna ask her if Caleb can stay in the guest room." Hanna said.

"Hey there, Hanna and her clanna." Mona said, walking up to the group.

"Hey, Mona. How'd it go in there?" Hanna asked.

"Honestly, I nailed it. It was epic. I think Mr. Fitz cried." Mona said.

"Good for you, Mona. I guess the rest of us should go home." Spencer said.

"No. There are no small parts, only parts that don't make it into the yearbook. Good luck." Mona said.

"I can't wait to get that part and see her cry." Katherine said the second Mona walked away.

"Why don't you audition?" Spencer asked, noticing Aria and Ezra staring at each other from across the room. "You kind of have an in with the director."

"Stop." Aria said.

"Is he wearing the tie you gave him?" Hanna asked.

"Stop." Aria said again.

"It would be so awesome to hang out with you two after school, see you as a couple." Spencer said.

"Newsflash, just because we're on this side of the building it doesn't mean that we can suddenly light candles and slow dance." Aria said.

"That's the opening night party." Spencer said. "Hello, Aria. Hello, Ezra." She said, putting on her best impression of the couple.
