"Why would A show us that part of the video?" Aria asked, confused on why the person torturing them was so willing to give them that kind of information.
"I can't believe I wasn't there, I was with my dad. I'm so sorry, guys." Katherine said, lying about who she was with once again.
"It's okay, Kat. We understand." Emily said.
"To keep us distracted for when the next attack is launched." Hanna said, answering Aria's question.
Katherine's phone went off and she lied to the group again. "Sorry, speaking of the bitch my father is." She said, rolling her eyes as she read the message.

"What's he want?" Spencer asked.
"To meet me for breakfast tomorrow with his family. Not a chance." Katherine said, scoffing as she shut the phone and sat back on the bed.
"Guys, Ian tried to kill Kat and I in the bell tower to get back his perverted videos and he went after Ali for the same reason." Spencer said, knowing Ian was the complete opposite of innocent, even in his murder.
"Yeah, but A had us convinced that Ian killed Alison and now it's, what, two miles from the kissing rock to Ali's house. I mean, did she turn off the camera and walk home in the dark, alone?" Emily said.
"Yeah, someone could've been waiting for her and surprised her when she got home." Hanna said.
"Like who?" Aria asked.
"Like Jason." Spencer said.
"Spence, no. I fully believe that Jason is innocent." Katherine said, knowing that she was with him the night Ali went missing.
"If Ian or Jason didn't kill Ali, did A?" Hanna asked, opening their eyes to just how big their A situation could be.
"Honestly, I still think Ali's alive. I know what I saw at the bell tower." Katherine said.
"Kat, we've been over this a million times. It's impossible." Spencer said.
"So, did you invite Ezra to the show?" Hanna asked Aria, changing the subject.
"No, he's out of town presenting a paper at a conference. Did you invite Caleb?" Aria said.
"Why would I do that?" Hanna asked.
"Because you kissed him." Katherine said, nudging Hanna slightly.
"How was it?" Emily asked, as Hanna got a dreamy look in her eyes.
"Well, I wore the total wrong gloss. You know the kind that looks wet, but it's really sticky?"
"Ew, borrow mine next time." Katherine said.
"The wads of hair get stuck to your mouth." Emily said, looking disgusted at just the thought of the gloss.
"It's all fun and sexy till somebody backs up a hairball." Aria said, looking over the fashion show pamphlet as she folded.
"Hey, could we please keep folding?" Spencer said, wanting to keep the other four on task. "I needed these done yesterday and I've already missed a million committee meetings."
"Aye, aye, Captain Spencer." Katherine said, saluting her best friend.
Katherine tuned out the other three girls as she watched Aria's expression while she looked at the text she had just gotten.
"Guys, I've gotta to deal with this." Aria said, rushing out of the room.
"I'm gonna go help Aria." Katherine said, following the shorter girl.
