The rest of the night went by fine. I went into my room at around 9 ish and just sat and watched YouTube until I fell asleep.
I had a day off school on Tuesday to go speak to Jack. Phil woke me up at 9am and I just done my usual shit got showered, dressed and had breakfast. I didn't have much to eat as was feeling sick again but ended up fine.
"You ready to go mate?" Phil said after I'd done my breakfast.
"Yeah."
I really wasn't in the mood to talk to Jack today but didn't have a choice. I wasn't in the mood to do anything today to be honest but the quicker I got shit done the quicker it'd be over.
Me and Phil got in the car. He put on the radio with some music I like and I was silently singing along.
The drive felt like forever. It was only 10 minutes but genuinely felt like hours and the fact didn't help I had a thumping headache.
We arrived at the orphanage. Phil knocked on the door and Jack answered almost instantly.
"Heyyy y/n, how are you?"
"I'm fine thanks Jack. What about you?"
"Yeah I'm good thanks. Come in guys just make your way to the meeting room."
Me and Phil went into the meeting room. It hadn't changed since the last time I'd been in. Jack came in and sat opposite us.
"So y/n. Your sister."
"Yeah?"
"I've got a few questions I need to ask. Is that ok?"
"Yeah well that's why I'm here innit."
Jack had a little clipboard thing which I'm assuming had all the questions on it.
"Ok. 1: How often have you met up with her unofficially after you got taken into foster care?"
"Like 4, 5 times I guess." He wrote something down and then asked me the next question.
"Is it just her or other family members as well?"
"There was one time where it was James and Kasey as well but not my mam or that." He wrote it down and continued with the questions.
It was just shit like where do we go when we meet, what do we talk about stuff like that. Eventually he got to the last question.
"Has she ever given you any illegal substance or forced you to do something you didn't want to."
I glanced at Phil. He gave me a slight nod towards Jack as if to say just tell him.
"Now, what do you mean by 'illegal substance?'" I was trying to be funny but don't think it worked.
"Like alcohol, drugs, cigarettes. Stuff like that."
I went quiet. I think my silence was alot louder than me actually saying it. I knew the consequences it could have if I admitted it. So simple answer was not to admit it.
"Y/n you need to tell me. This can have serious consequences if you don't."
"And it'll have serious consequences if I do so I can't win whatever I say!"
I snapped at Jack. I didn't mean it I just didn't want to answer anymore of his stupid questions. I was getting stressed thinking about all the potential outcomes. I might not be allowed to see her again for ages.
"So she has given you something?"
I again stayed silent.
"Y/n please."
