Ginger ignored me, turning around so that her face was in a pillow. Very mature. That was sure to move the discussion along.
"Do you like Rory? Like, like like him?" I asked again.
Bee snorted. "That's very third grade of you Iris."
I rolled my eyes at her. That wasn't helping either. Honestly, I just wanted to end this whole little game, and I was going to do my best to get Ginger to give it up.
"Ginger!"
She exhaled loudly. "I don't know." Her voice was muffled by the pillow.
Of course. It's impossible to figure out your own feelings. Was I being sarcastic? I couldn't even tell, to be honest.
"Okay, let's try to make this easier. Would you enjoy making out with Rory?" I asked.
I would so make out with Colton.
"Maybe." She said reluctantly.
"Would you enjoy holding his hand in the hallways?"
I would love walking hand in hand through the halls with Colton.
"Maybe."
"Would you enjoy just being with him?" I asked dreamily.
Spending time with Colton was always nice.
"Well yes, because I already enjoy spending time with Rory." Ginger said slowly.
"Could you stare into his beautiful eyes for an eternity, trying to figure out if his eyes were more blue or gray?"
Ginger sat up and looked at me. "Rory has brown eyes. But yes, they are very nice eyes. I could look at them for a while. Okay fine, I'll admit it. I like Rory. I would enjoy being his girlfriend. I could see myself walking down the aisle with him standing at the altar. Are you happy?"
"Oh how romantic!" Bee said, clapping her hands.
"That escalated quickly," I said.
Thank god they hadn't noticed the whole Colton's eye color thing. I almost gave myself away there. But that's not important right now.
"Okay so you like Rory, like a lot. What's stopping you from telling him?" I asked.
Ginger laid back down on her back. Her red hair fanned out behind her. "I don't know. I'm scared."
"But he likes you. You know that!" I said.
She closed her eyes. "That's not what I'm scared of. I mean what if he cheated on me or something? It would hurt even more then it usually does. I just don't know if I can risk that."
I scoffed. "Rory would never cheat on you."
Seriously. Rory was like one of the most loyal people I knew. Besides me of course.
"In this world you can never be sure."
"Okay fine Ginger. Lose your chance at happiness." I said.
"You're so dramatic. I'll tell Rory whenever I want to. Anyways, I'm not letting you off the hook. I was paying attention to the blue eyes thing. Who has blue eyes?" She said tapping her chin pretending to think.
"Around a quarter of the population." I said quickly.
Ginger smirked. "Sorry, let me make that a little more specific. Who has bluish gray eyes?"
Now it was my turn to hide my face in the pillow. Ginger and Bee both started giggling.
"Iris likes Colton! Iris loooooves Colton. She needs help figuring out his eye color!"" Ginger screamed. I began laughing too. She was being dumb.
