Do you ever have to introduce your weird as fuck boyfriend to your very traditionally straight parents? Well, I did, and let me say this: I hated it.

"So..." my father said, looking at Hisoka. "This is your boyfriend?"

"Yes, he is. I am, uh, sorry." Hisoka had shown up in a blood-red button-up shirt. He was also wearing black capris and obsidian black three-inch (7.62 cm) heels.

"There is no need to be sorry, Illumi. Is he good to you?" My mother asked.

"I am not sure what you mean by that. Do you mean if he is kind to me?"

"Yes, that's what I mean. Is he kind to you? Is he a good boyfriend? Is he supportive of you and your wishes?"

"Oh, then, yes. He is good to me. I feel very respected and loved by him. We both support each other in any way that we can, and if we cannot, we try to stay out of it so as not to bother the other."

My father stepped closer to Hisoka and held his hand out, so he could shake it. "You, Hisoka, are a good man. Please take good care of my son."

"I will do my best. Thank you for trusting me, both of you." Hisoka shook his hand.

I am glad that both Mother and Father approved of Hisoka. When we got home, we cuddled. I had promised him that we could if he did not do anything weird, and he followed my direction. I love him so much, and I am glad my parents accepted that.
