After two straight Carter Gylander shutouts, the Colgate Raiders head to Hartford, Connecticut to play the UConn Huskies tonight. With 11:23 left in the first period, Marc Gatcomb scored to make it 1-0 UConn. With 4:19 left in the first period, Hudson Schandor scored to make it 2-0 Huskies. With 2:16 left in the first period, Pierson Brandon scored his fifth goal of the season to make it 2-1 UConn. Mitch Benson and Darion Hanson matched zeros for the remainder of the period so, UConn leads 2-1 heading to the second period. With 18:58 left in the second period, Nick Capone scored to make it 3-1 Huskies. With 17:06 left in the second period, Artem Shiaine scored to make it 4-1 UConn. With 9:52 left in the second period, Carter Turnbull scored to make it 5-1 Huskies. Coach Vaughan pulled Mitch Benson out of the net and so, Carter Gylander filled in for the remainder of the game. Gylander and Hanson matched zeros for the remainder of the period so, 5-1 Huskies heading to the third period. With 5:46 left in the third period, Harrison Rees scored to make it 6-1 UConn. Darion Hanson finished off the Raiders and UConn wins 6-1. Colgate dropped to 8-8-0 on the season.
