05| Urokodaki Sakonji

You embark on your adventure to Urokodaki Sakonji's place. It will be very troublesome because you don't remember what will happen next after Tanjiro was told to go to Urokodaki's house. You know something was gonna happen but what is it again?

"We need to find something to cover Nezuko. We can't let her touch the sun", you nod. "Stay here with Nezuko Y/n I'll go make a basket", and that was how you ended up staying with Nezuko who was hiding herself in a hole.

You stare at her with lidded eyes. You wanted to strike a conversation with the demon as if she was still... Nezuko. But you knew it would be pointless. She has a bamboo strapped between her teeth. It saddened you that it was your fault this happened.

But you suddenly felt a shiver run down your spine. A feeling you will get scolded if you continue to think about it.

"I miss you nee-san", you whisper. Nezuko only stared at you and hummed. You just gave her a bitter smile.

Tanjiro came back with a basket like he said and prompted Nezuko to climb inside. You laughed at her for trying to fit in with her size. And Tanjiro was amazed when Nezuko shrinked back in size while you were squealing at how cute her baby form was.

The journey went on. Tanjiro asked here and there where Urokodaki lives. The sun was starting to set and you started to pant from exhaustion. You wipe yourself with the sleeve of your kimono.

"Y/n do you want me to carry you? You seem to be really tired", you don't want to faint and burden Tanjiro with an unconsious body so you accepted your brother's offer.

Nezuko's basket was on your back and you were being carried on Tanjiro's back. "Nii-san can I sleep a little? I'm a little... tired...", you whisper before going into slumber.

Tanjiro smiled when he heard soft snores. You finally took a rest, Tanjiro knew what happened from your dad. He felt terrified when he heard you fight a demon, he didn't expect that demons were real. Knowing that you just fought something so dangerous like that, he felt guilty for not being able to protect you. He wasn't there to help. He saw how you were quick to take action and make a plan for the sake of everyone.

Tanjiro promised himself he will try his best and not burden you. He still doesn't understand everything about you. But he will wait for you to open up yourself.

Night time hit and Nezuko was out of the basket now. Tanjiro let you sleep because you deserved it, especially since you have a weak body.

"Ah! A temple, there's also light inside. There's people let's go", Tanjiro prompts Nezuko to follow him yet he stops in his tracks. "This is the smell of blood. Someone is hurt!", you woke up from his shout. "Eh? Eh?", you murmur confused when Tanjiro suddenly began to run and you had to tighten your hold on his neck.

"Is anyone hur-!", Tanjiro was cut off by the sight. You choke in response, your mouth agape seeing the horrific scene. A demon was munching on a hand and there were three bodies who were drenched in blood.
