So um the story is that you are Captain Picards 26 year old daughter and I'll explain the rest in the story lol

Mentions of loss, trauma, and murder, please skip if that's a trigger for you.

Y/n's pov

I was living with my Aunt Marie and my Uncle Robert, and their son René, when someone had come to the house.

"Hello, Jean-Luc."

"Good morning Robert, how are you?"

"Very good..." Uncle Robert grabbed his shoulder, and said with a very serious face, "I have someone you might want to meet."

"Who is it?" He asked curiously.

"Y/n!" Uncle Robert called me from the kitchen.

After a minute, I hadn't come to them, and so my Uncle said to René, "René, go get y/n."

"Okay!" He said, running upstairs.

"Y/n, Uncle Robert needs to speak to you." He said to me.

I walked to the kitchen, and I saw them two standing there.

"Morning, did you need something?" I asked.

"Jean-Luc, this is your daughter, y/n." Uncle Robert gestured to me.

My father looked at me, and then looked back at Uncle Robert.

"Are you sure?" He asked.

"Yes Jean-Luc, we had gotten her tested."

My father looked at me and he looked sorry.

"I'm not that good with children." He admitted, but it sounded like he was making an excuse.

"I'm not a child." I said.

"How old are you?" He looked surprised.

"26."

"Who is your mother?"

"We don't know, her dna wasn't in any database." Robert told him.

I nodded.

*A couple hours later* (lol my brain is mush)

"Have you been, or ever wanted to be on a starship y/n?" My father asked before taking a bite of bread.

"No, I have not." I lied, in hopes I wouldn't remember.

René looked at me.

"What do you mean you've never been on a starship?" René asked me, shocked.

"Yes, you have! You told me yourself, remember?"

"Oh yes, I remember." I said as images flashed through my mind.

*Flashback*

"Y/N HIDE! HIDE SO THEY CAN'T HURT YOU!"

"MOM WHAT ABOUT YOU?"

"I'LL BE OKAY SWEETIE! GO!"

*End of flashback"

I held my head.

"Are you alright?" René asked.

"Yes, I'm fine," I smiled "I'm just tired."

"May I be excused?"

Uncle Robert nodded, and I stood up, taking care of my plate.

"Thank you."

*Time skip*

Somehow I had convinced myself to go on a starship, and when I had taken my first steps onto the Enterprise, my mind was immediately flooded with flashbacks of what happened on the last ship I was on.

I was new to this ship, and I knew no one on it except for my father and of course, the ship's counselor, they both had welcomed me to the ship.

I was in my mind as I wandered through the corridors, walking past rooms that weren't mine.

I had bumped into someone, pulling me out of my mind and I gasped as I looked up at him.

"Will?" I asked and he smiled.

"Nice to see you too y/n, how have you been doing?"

I smiled "I'm great, how are you?"

"Good, I had recently resolved some issues between me and my father."

"Good," I smiled wider, "That's good, how did you two resolve those issues?"

"An anbo-jyutsu duel."

My jaw dropped in shock.

"You two fought like children, in order to resolve your differences?" I asked, crossing my arms and raising an eyebrow.

"When you say it like that, it sounds like it was a bad idea."

"Oh, now it seems like it was a bad idea?" I asked.

He smiled, pulling me in for a hug.

I hugged him back, smiling.

"I missed you."

"I missed you too, Will."

We pulled apart but we were still hugging, his arms around my waist and my arms upon his shoulders.

"You look like you've been through a lot." I said.

"We haven't had shore leave in months and I am so exhausted." He said.

I smiled "Maybe you should talk to your Captain about that, maybe he's exhausted too."

I started having flashbacks again.

*Flashback*

I was walking around after everything had gone quiet, and the attacks on the ship seemed to stop.

"Mom?" I asked around, looking around every corner.

It seemed I was looking forever, and when I found her, I screamed.

"NO! MOM! MOMMY NO!!" I sobbed as knelt next to her and hugged her cold, lifeless body that was covered in blood.

I wiped my tears away and then I looked at my hands, which were now covered in blood and I cried more.

*End of flashback*

A tear escaped my eye.

"Is anything wrong?" Will asked, understandingly worried.

"I'm just so happy to see you, Will, I haven't seen you since you graduated from the Academy." I wiped my tear away.

He smiled.

Counselor Troi's pov

"Captain, I am sensing awakening memories in her." I said.

"In who?" He asked.

"Your daughter, y/n, something very traumatic happened to her when she was young and those memories are now coming back." I said.

"What are you talking about? Y/n has never been through anything traumatic."

"How would you know? You were never there." I said. (Emotional damage)

He made a pained look.

"I didn't know she existed until a month ago." He said.

"I know what I'm sensing from her."
