Chapter 11

Mush's POV

I walked through the busy streets with rage, Spot Conlon gets anything and everything he wants...so will he end up getting Willow? He is 'the king of Brooklyn' who has loads of fame, I'm just an ordinary newsies. As I sold my papes I couldn't stop thinking of Spot and Willow he's and snob he doesn't deserve her, she's too good for him. I walk back to the lodging house when I saw Willow standing in the doorway  "Hey Mush wait up, I just cancel my plans with Spot" I heard while walking in, I didn't know how to feel so I just looked at her blankly. I felt as though to smile but didn't, was I being to controlling? We're not even dating I shouldn't be so upset about it. I continued walking upstairs I felt relived that she wouldn't be near that bum...but I felt bad for being annoyed and shouting at her before hand. When me and the others went to head to a bar, Willow hadn't came back yet I wondered where she was, what was she doing? then Racetrack said he'd wait for her to get back. I sat in the bar talking with the fellas until I heard Racetrack entering the room with Willow. She said she was wandering about but I wanted to know more such as where? Why? Why couldn't I just tell her how I feel, maybe I should? We were walking out when all of a sudden jack asked if we were dating, it hit me by surprise I didn't hesitate to tell him something that would make him shut up about us two, I knew it would hurt me to say it, But when I looked over at Willow she had tears in her eyes and her beautiful smile had vanished. Maybe she did like me? I knew by then I needed to tell her, it hurt to watch her be upset..because of me. When we got back we walked over to the others to sit and chat but Willow didn't she went straight upstairs, I went after her but I realised she had went to the the roof. I knew I had to apologise so I told her how I felt about Spot and also how it's none of my business who she wants to date, looking into her dazzling eyes, she told me it wasn't my fault and thanked me which I took as a sign that we were on good terms again. The way she looked admiring things as beautiful as herself, I knew I wanted to tell her how I felt, that was until Racetrack had to but in. She went back down to see what Racetrack wanted, I gave her a smile before she left and looked back out into the city

Willow's POV

"Hey race what up?" I say with a smile but his face looked pale and shocked his eyes filled with horror and fear,"Jack.." was all he managed to get out "Race what do ya mean?" I say in a concerned tone "He's gone...he's missing" He says "We can't find em..." He says while other run out of the lodging house to search the streets for Jack "We think the Delancy's finally got em" He says while walking out to search for him. I wasn't sure what to do I had to let Mush know "Mush quick" I desperately screamed, Mush came running to me "What is it sunshine?" He says concerned "It's Jack he's missing" I said "I'm gonna go look for him" I said while walking out "Yeah me too, make sure to be back here before 9 alright" He says looking back at me "You got it" I says continuing walking down the street."Jack" I scream with a pause to see if he responds then again another "Jack" I felt sick in my stomach, where could he be? What could of happened? I wandered about the streets of New York looking anywhere and everywhere, alleys, behind barrels, on then back of carts anywhere I could think of. As I called out his name again and again I got a reply "Hiya princess..." I thought it was Spot but when I turned round it was them Delancy brothers,"Where's Jack?" I said demandingly "Don't worry princess we got your man Jack all fixed up" They sneered. My heart dropped, what have they done to him? "Where is he?" I say trying to hide my fear," Well take ya to em" They snarled once again. I followed them back to an alley way, where I saw....
