Chapter 24

Willow's POV

A couple years go by you and Mush are now adults, everyone in the newsboy lodging house has left and started a new chapter in there life's.
You and Mush bought a beautiful house together  not too far from Brooklyn, yous both officially adopted Todd as your child now and you even considering getting a dog. You and Mush haven't heard from the others in about two years yous always wonder what they're doing in life and yous all miss them, Mush works in his own shop now while you stay home with Todd life was simpler now, you would have actually money in your pockets now, you could afford things, you just hoped it was like that with the others you missed the lodging house it felt like home. The newsies felt like home. "Hey I'm home from work!" Mush said with a smile walking through the door "Dad!" Todd said running up and giving Mush a tight hug "Heya Todd where's Mom?" Mush asked "She's upstairs" Todd replied "Oh alright why don't you play down here" Mush says walking up the stairs "Ok!" Todd replied grabbing his toy airplane. I sat upstairs looking back at old photos of Todd, Mush, Racetrack, Jack, Skittery, Blink, David, Les, you just missed being a newsies "Hi hunny watch's doin?" Mush said peaking into our bedroom door "Oh just looking at things" I replied as he walked over to see what I was smiling at "I'm sure we'll see em again" He said kissing my head "They haven't responded to us there nowhere to be found!" I say as a tear drops from my face "We're family alright, we have too much memories wit em to not see em again while find em someday the newsies are always there for da newsies!" He said reassuring me "Yeah, ok" I said giving him a hug "So I was hinking we could go ta Medda's last gig tonight aye?" Mush said with a grin "Yeah I'd love too but what about Todd" I asked "Well Spot said he'd mind him" Mush replied "Since when did you like Spot?" I said "Come on!" Mush replied "I don't know if I trust Spot" I say sarcastically "Just get ready ya bum!" Mush says jokingly while giving me a kiss on the cheek. I go and curl my hair and put on a glittery light pink dress, a white flapper headband,a light pink feather, long white gloves, a Pearl necklace with matching pearling earnings. I walked down stairs to see Mush in a suit as we thank Spot for minding Todd and walk out the door and jump on the back of a cart to get to Manhattan, we walked into Medda's theatre and took a seat at the very front "Medda!" A familiar squeaky voice said me and Mush both turn and see a man with a cigar in his mouth "Race?" I say scanning him. He turns and looks at us "Mush.." he said confused "Wills..where yas been?" He loudly said pushing through the crowd and giving us a hug "Haven't seen any of da newsies in ages!" He said "Yeah we haven't either!" I replied "So yas still togedda en?" He said putting Mush on the back "Yeah we got a house near Brooklyn, you should come see it sometime" Mush says smiling "Oh yeah, definitely I got a place too not to far away from here" He says "Hey maybe you should come over to ours tonight?" I reply "Yeah I'd love ta!" He said "Before I start the show if any newsies are here come round back!" We hear Medda say "What she taking about?" Mush and Racetrack say "I don't know but let's just go" I replied. We walked behind stage to see Jack and Sarah holding hands "Jack?" We all said "Heya fellas!" Jack replied giving us all a hug "Where ya been man" Muhs says "I'm guessing wit Sarah!" Racetrack reply's jokingly "Yeah we got our own place in just outside of Brookyln" he replied smiling and giving Sarah a hug "So do we!" Me and Mush replied "How bout yous all come over tonight yano catch up!" Mush says "Yeha sure-".    Jack say before he gets cut off by loud chattering and footsteps "The newsies are back!" We heard voices roar as we turned to see all our old friends the newsies. We all decided to go to a bar as we wouldn't all fit inside our house, we sat and talked, sung, played games, and told everyone stories about what we did when we were younger like how Racetrack once broke Blinks bunk bed cause he was having a wrestling match with Skittery, or how Crutchie accidentally dropped his underwear out of a window onto a women's head as we all laughed at her walking on not noticing it. It soon got late and we all headed back to ours own homes laughing and thinking about the good old times that I'm glad I shared with them, after all the newsies will always be family. And we'll always be there for each other.
