Monday came quicker than expected as Sunday I had no plans and decided to binge watch my favorite TV show.

I arrived at school, seeing Logan in the hallway. I went up to him to chat with him before. class.

     "Good morning!" I greeted him.

"Y/N, good morning! How are you?" He asked.

"I'm good, thanks." I replied, simply.

"I got this stupid song stuck in my head. Really annoying me because, one, I've heard it from somewhere and I don't know the name or artist. Two, it's distracting me from more important things."

"Oh, that sucks. How does it go."

"Don't mind my horrible singing voice, but it goes like; Na, na, na, na, na, na, na... Hey- something. I don't know what's next."

"Oh, wow! That's a classic song! It's Hey Jude by The Beatles!" I exclaimed.

"Oh, those old dudes? From the forties?" He asked. I quietly sighed and said,

"No... the sixties... two of them are dead, one's seventy-nine and the other is eighty-one."

     "So the famous old dudes."

"Sure."  I responded. I knew he wouldn't be, one, interested, two, wouldn't want to hear me rant on about how The Beatles are timeless. "Your voice is great, by the way." I complimented him. Just then, the bell rang and we went to our classes.

Once I walked in, barely making it on time, my teacher asked to speak with me.

     "Yes, Ms Fringewood?" I asked.

"I was told to give this to you by your cousin, Michael," she then handed me a giant gold locket. The chain was gold but the end had silver and sky blue gems engraved into it. Then it hit me, I didn't have a cousin named "Michael".

"I don't have a cousin named "Michael", Ms. Is this a joke?" I asked, fidgeting with the chain of the locket.

"No," she paused. "Do you have other relatives that go to this school?" She asked. I shook my head.

"Sorry, I must have misheard. My bad. Take your seat, Y/N." She said, kindly.

I did as she said, putting the locket over my neck.

"Where'd you get that?" My friend asked, who sat behind me.

"Ms. Fringewood gave it to me. Apparently my cousin Michael dropped it off." I whispered as the teacher started talking.

"You have a cousin named "Michael"?" My friend asked.

"No. But that's what she said."

We listened to the boring lecture as I couldn't stop thinking about who Michael really was.

Once my school day went surprisingly fast, I went up to my room and looked at the locket that hung on my neck and how it looked. It was really pretty. Once I saw how it looked, I stopped thinking deeply into who it's from and just appreciated the jewelry. My parents didn't seem to notice that I was wearing it, for some reason. I guess that was for the best because then they'd tell me to give it back. I didn't want to in case I found out who it was from and it was really nice looking, too.

After finishing my homework, studying and dinner, I went to bed. I was mentally burnt from a long fourteen hour day. Just as I start to drift off, I get startled by a bright, shining green light erupting from my desk where I had put my locket. It was coming out of the locket which had burst open. I let out a scream and fell out of my bed (the further side). My breathing quickened as I slightly peaked over my bed to look at the light. It had stopped a long minute later. I slowly sat on my bed, still looking at my locket that had shut closed now. I started to calm my breathing, just when I hear something,

"Y/N? Are you okay?" My mom had barged into my room, looking concerned.

"Sorry, I'm fine. Just a leg cramp but it's over now." I lied. She nodded and closed my door again, leaving me to sleep.

"Look here, Y/N." A deep and echoing voice. I looked near my door, and saw the outline of a figure standing before me. I turned on my light and saw a man, dressed in nothing but white robes. He was thin, and had a shaggy gray long beard with messy matching shaded hair which was around the same length as his beard. I swallowed the lump in my throat from shock and asked,

     "Who are you?"

"God," he replied, simply. He had a small smile on his face.

This can't be actually happening? I thought to myself.

     "Oh, but it is, Y/N."

"I think Dr. Robert may have loaned me some drugs." I mutter to myself, trying to ease this situation with special humor.

"That song isn't too bad." God replied. "Do you know why you received that locket, Y/N?" He asked.

"Um, no... why did I?" I asked.

"Because you've been chosen to be blessed with great ability. That locket gives you power, whenever you use it." He replied.

     "What ability?"

"This takes great responsibility and caution. This gives you the power to create a new reality and travel back and forth to it."

I was speechless. A new reality? Is he crazy? Why would I want or need to do that? When and how, too?

"Sorry, what? I can reality create?!" I finally found my words.

"Yes. With the locket, you open it and a green portal will appear. When you first use it, decide fast where you want to be. And remember, there is no going back. Why don't you give it a try now, then."

I stood up from my bed and put the locket around my neck. My hands started to shake and I felt very scared.

"Don't be scared," God reassured me. I took a deep breath and opened the locket. I saw the green portal and quickly thought of a place I wanted to go to. I then felt a cold hand on mine, applying pressure to close the locket. "Don't go yet. Go when you're ready." Next thing I knew, God was gone. I was left alone, standing in my room with the locket in my hands.

The power to go to another reality... This will certainly be interesting...
